OMG NEW SHERLOCK NEW SHERLOCK NEW SHERLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- The funny!! The comedy seemed ramped up more than before. I laughed more than a few times! :D
- Christmas at Baker Street!!! YAY!!
- AWESOME BROMANCE IS AWESOME. STARS IN MY EYES.
- Oh MOLLY. OMG. Dear Moffat: You do not need to make Sherlock into your version of the Doctor where every woman throws herself at him. Let Molly have some self-respect for crap's sake! >:( (P.S. Totally didn't recognize her at the party. I thought maybe she was Harry or something.)
- Irene. I liked her and was VERY glad she didn't die at the end. I was pretty bummed when it seemed like she was going to die. HOWEVER, the ending was extremely cheesy. I guess I should have figured it, given it was Steven "Everybody Lives" Moffat.
- The dynamic between Sherlock and Irene - interesting even though something seemed a bit off about it. Like it was almost executed well, but not quite? Maybe because there were far too many bluffs and fakeouts? Or that it had all the subtlety of a sledgehammer? Dunno. It would probably require deep thinky thoughts, but I try to keep my brain fairly switched off for this show. Other than that it pretty much confirms I don't like anything Moffat writes about romance. Hmmm. Maybe I would have liked it better if it had just ended with Irene winning instead of about how she really loves Sherlock? :-\
- Oh! Back to Irene. Would have been kind of nice to show a woman with power/strength that doesn't revolve around sex, wouldn't it? BUT IT'S MOFFAT. WOMEN'S STRENGTH COMES FROM LADY BITS, OBV. (Although it might not be 100% fair to say that - I'm not sure what the whole original Irene's deal was in the books, but it did have to do with some affairs, no?) But the whole Cheesy Sexy Dialog got a bit stale. Who talks like that? I mean, other than in a male fantasy?
- Speaking of the books, did Irene work with Moriarty in the books? Because both the RDJ movie and BBC have Irene working with Moriarty. (And exactly how did that fail to come up again? Maybe Sherlock didn't quite give a shit about Moriarty at the moment? BAH. Look at me trying to keep a thread of continuity in a Moffat story.)
- BROMANCE FOR THE WIN. DID I MENTION? THE GIGGLING. XD
- Heh. I had to laugh. Lestrade has a wife. BUT OMG WHAT WILL FANDOM DO NOW THAT THEY DIDN'T SHOW HIM WITH MYCROFT???? Oh, right. Write that Lestrade leaves his wife for Mycroft. Duh. XD
- Overall I enjoyed it, other than it felt like it went on a bit long and the bit of romance cheese.
