I will admit that I'm not overly familiar with his work, but I've heard enough good things that I recognized his name when Zoe announced him. And I have to say, it's got me feeling excited about DW again!

Yes, I'm definitely willing to give it a chance again. I'm hoping he'll be able to distract me from the Moffat part of the equation, because I do miss the show. Watching the last half of The End of Time prior to the announcement reminded me of that.
