aj has written a fab meta about Tony/Pepper and their relationship from IM1 through IM3. (HEH. First typed "S1".)

And goldy_dollar is writing Tony/Pepper that includes Pepper and Natasha kicking ass. (Which IMO is the best possible type of IM fic imaginable ( Read more... )

As a person who likes to read Tony/Pepper, Tony/Bruce and Tony/Steve I'm afraid I'm mostly seeing Tony/Pepper as the "past" relationship in fics featuring the other two. *shrug* I really, really wish AO3 could allow authors to choose primary and secondary relationships and characters. There are times when I specifically want to read about one relationship or character and that can be really hard to find sometimes.

There is one series that starts off Tony/Pepper and turns into Tony/Pepper/Steve which I don't know if you've seen or would be interested in, though. It's by boombangbing on AO3 and the series name is Magnetic.

In the meantime, I'm going to track the comments on this post and hope someone comes up with something better, and/or that goldy_dollar comes through. :-)

I really wish AO3 had that as well. Like I love reading John/Sherlock, and I'm sort of ok with Mycroft/Lestrade (as in I'll suffer through it because so many people tack it on to John/Sherlock), but only as background Mycroft/Lestrade. Anything active and it's a big NOPE for me. Pretty much any pairing involving Mycroft is NOPE.

I'm not really interested in Steve. Like, at all. (I know it's a comics thing, but it bewilders me as a movie thing.) So I think I'll pass on the threesome. :D

I have been reading that! Although I'll admit I'm sort of losing interest. I'm finding this problem with lots of long Sherlock fics - they just won't END. I know writers are having fun writing in a universe, but often it makes for fairly horrible reading in that there's absolutely no structure to the plot. I've given up on more than a few fics that just ramble on and on.

This one is better written than most, and presumably has a beginning, middle, and end given the person has capped it at 45 chapters, but still.

I REALLY wish there was a way to filter out past-Tony/Pepper Tony/Whoever fics. Seriously. It's gotten ridiculous.

That's to say that lately I haven't had the energy to sort through the Tony/Pepper tag.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH AO3. Every time I go into the Tony/Pepper tag, it's like 75% other pairings -- Tony/Steve, Tony/Loki, Tony/Bruce. It saddens me that there's not more fic for the major canon pairing of the MCU.

That being said, here's what I've found lately:

Another Morning After, by Ael_tRlailiiu. Then go read all her other fic. She's got a really good handle on Tony's character. Also check out her meta.

Then there's but my hand's been broken one too many times by paperclipbitch. It's not as rosy a future for Tony/Pepper as I like to imagine, but paperclipbitch is always great.

Walking Through Windows by andibeth is on my to-read list.

The Fire and The Forgeseemed promising in its first two chapters but I'm not sure if the author has abandoned it.

And now I will be stalking this post for the next week, probably, in the hopes of more recs. :D
