I think I will stand in the camp where Sherlock did go and tell Anderson just to be a dick to him. I'd like to believe that Lestrade said something to Sherlock about Anderson having these crazy theories and Sherlock, just so he can be an ass hole, went to Anderson and told him the story, just to fuck with his mind.
I'm not sure I buy that. I don't think he'd tell Anderson instead of John, even if he wanted to mess with him.
Mary is epic. If she is killed off in the next two weeks I might be angry enough to give up on this show all together.
I now fear for Mary. :|
I'm sure they tried but how do you deal with a child who is already smarter then you? You're best is all you can do.
So many fics just got Jossed. :D
I agree, I wonder if this will stand up to re-watch. I have a feeling this ep will be coloured by the two that come after it. That said, it was 90 minutes of mostly character development (I though Mycroft having to sit though Les Mis was a perfect punishment for watching Sherlock get beat up. Even if Sherlock didn't

I think Sherlock might have actually *GASP* grown as a person! I mean, he's still a jackass, and John was totally right to punch him. A lot. But still. (And probably should've punched him again after the bomb thing.)
I loved Mary, too; I was worried about that, but I loved that she liked Sherlock, too, and she got to go with him to go rescue John.
I was worried about this episode because, you know, Moffat, but it was much better than I anticipated. I actually enjoyed most of it quite well.

Yeah, I agree. He's still a dick, but he's now taunting Mycroft about not having friends and being lonely instead of just agreeing with him.

I just hope she won't turn out to be evil or something.

Me too! And the next ep looks like so much fun! Of course then we have Moffat's ep, so who knows what that will be like.
British press all seems to think that the explanation of the fall he gave the journalist at the end is the genuine one. Not to mention Moffat's interview on the BBC youtube channel implying that it has been explained.

MEEP.
Those who liked/enjoyed the episode and those who are upset with it.
Really? I don't think I've seen anyone who was upset with it.
I don't feel like I can pass judgement on this ep until I've seen the full series and had a good long think about all of it.
Well you won't have to wait long to see the full series. :D
