I saw Julian Glover tell portions of this tale on the BBC's Michael Wood on Beowulf  and was absolutely enthralled. Here, John Gielgud introduces another telling by Glover. This, my dear friends, is how stories are told - the oldest story left in English. This how they live, and breathe.

gods yes, my mother is/was an english teacher, beaowulf is one of her standard texts, i would love to ahve a copy. just trying to think of the easyest way to get one to me.....
