I was just thinking I didn't want to spend that much money as it would cost to be all night in a pub.

but it would still be so much less than you would spend on presents, food, decorations etc

Maybe it also depends on what pubs cost near you.

I'd want food either way. Most of the money in decorations is for reusable stuff, so I've already got it. (And can't be bothered to put it up.)

I guess would spend less even for the frou-frou place near me than what I've spent on gifts. Come talk to me after I've been to the post office though. It's going to cost me about as much again to mail the stuff as I spent buying it.
