Professor, I wasn't sure if you wanted me to do a Lithomantic Stone Casting or a Runemal Stone Casting and I didn't want to pester you with more questions! When I reached into my trunk to grab my set of 13 Lithomancy stones...my hand was drawn to my Rune stones...I thought it might have been a sign or something, so I did the stone casting with them.
The stones are (in order)Taewaz, Eolgit and Onsuz (inverted!)
I interpreted them as follows:
The precise arrangement of these stones (taking into consideration that Onsuz is inverted) in combination with their symbolic meanings leads me to believe that some sort of failure in communication has tipped the balance - and not in my favour. The stones also say that I should act swifty to avert danger in the future, and that if I perservere, I will achieve my goal.
Thoughts of the next Potions lesson were lurking in the back of my mind while casting. I feel that those thoughts influenced my cast and that I should interpret this as a warning. If I do not pay attention to what goes on in Potions class, something bad will happen to me (perhaps I will end up Polyjuicing with a less then savoury student, the stones do not say).
The stones are ambiguous on the aversion of Danger. As far as I know, I am not in any danger at all (providing I don't go for a swim in the lake) but I will heed this warning and be on the alert for anything harmful in my vicinity.
As for the mention of my goal, I do not have a major goal, at the moment, beyond finding a mask at the ball. I devoutly hope that the stone casting is telling me to keep looking through catlogs so that I might find one.
