I had a great weekend. On Friday, I went out with Liane and Paige. We went to Archer's (where i saw Professor Wise...eep!) and then to this gellato place. It was wonderful. It is nice to finally have a good group of Bellingham friends. Marcus was also over at my apartment the entire weekend, so we watched movies and tv shows and made various ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that you had a good weekend, dearheart. & I had Wise for something, I think...

& I ended up having to drop two minors so that I could graduate on time. I hated having to do it, but I had to. If it saves you lots of stress, do it. Take care of yourself, dear. xxoo

Wise is awesome but sort of crazy. He is really into theory, especially postcolonial theory and lit. I like reading his stuff. He has published like 9 million journal articles, and they are fun to read.

It seems so silly because if i do drop my minor, i will be just one class away from it, but if I keep it, my last quarter would be so hellish. I will be taking 4 classes (21 credits), one of my classes will be at 8am, and I would be taking two writing intensive courses, which is a lot. Plus, to take that many credits, I would have to pay like another $500 or even as much as $1000. One of the classes would have to be through distance education, too, and I dont know if I have the discipline to force myself to do the work. I dont know. The whole nightmare has me so freaked out. I think for my sanity, it might be best to drop my minor. Ugh. I dont know.

miss you. xoxo.

I don't think it's crazy to drop a minor to have less stress. I decided last quarter that I would take a break from linguistics classes. I don't think I'm going back. So, for those of you keeping track at home, Linguistics went from a second major, to a minor, to a dud in a matter of three months.
