yaya. I know these should've been up last friday, but our scanner at work ended up leaving a huge white line through all of my scans and prints (and those of 3 or 4 other people... oops). rescanned them sunday, then decided to just upload them today (you know... to start off the month nicely or something).

check out everything in this flickrset.

Haha, I have to agree with that. It sort of made me stop for a second there.

I love the photos, as usual.

If I ever had the 1D, I wouldn't even know what to do with myself.

Mmmmm!

well. i'd start lifting so that I could actually carry around a 4+ pound camera.
then I'd just put the camera on burst, hold down the shutter, and listen to the bliss for hours on end.

Oooh is that last picture taken in West Clay? Because that neighborhood is extremely wierd in a sort of interesting/cool way. Yeah...awesome pics as usual. And you seriously need to do what we talked about in Sharpless' class. That would really make my day!

yep we were in west clay, but not the really really really weird part of it. like, seriously. some of those houses are intense.

and maybe on an exam review day, we can have our fun with sharpless.

sweet pics guy
ahh im always paranoid when it comes to taking pictures of people. but i guess that's because its a public place/random place, and i don't know them..at all. and i'm scared that i'll be taking a picture, and they'll come after me o_O.
..is that just me?
um okay..*walks away*

not just you. it's weird taking pictures of random strangers, though I think it's because they don't know why you would be taking photos of them, and I think they worry about what is going to be done with the photos afterward. but after you talk with them, they're almost always okay with it (in my experience).

and also, you shouldn't be worried about taking pictures of people in public areas, because they can't legally do anything about it (photography is not a crime). they won't come after you, that's silly :)

I just got back from taking pictures (with the school Canon digital Rebel!!! eee!!!) at my school's homecoming (late because of Katrina). Action shots and candids are so much fun to take and they come out so well; posed group shots suck. The number of people asking me to take their picture just because I was toting something fancy looking was really annoying. Ugh!

Those are lovely shots, by the way.

i agree... posed shots are really boring and bland; candids rule, yo.

but oh my god... i had no idea you lived in new orleans... are you doing alright? and where are you?

I'm fine. I'm back in NO. We lived in the westernmost suburb so we didn't get severe wind damage (a hole above my room, but that's it). We thought it would flood a lot, since we have a swamp around us, but we're ok. Actually I'm one of the lucky residents. My house and school are alright and my parents have their jobs. I should be happy, but sometimes I feel really guilty that I came out ok, but many of my friends and many other residents didn't. Yes, feeling guilty is rather stupid, but that's me.
