well, thank you :) keep in mind that these are all digital shots, so I guess it's the camera.
just as a note though, unless you have really crappy film from like meijer or something (and then go back there to get it processed), the film really doesn't have much to do with the quality of your photos. if you shoot film, the most important factor is the quality and build of the lens in front of the body.
oh goodness. sometimes I struggle with lighting, believe it or not. a LOT of my photos are taken in low light, and usually I have to bump up the ISO to 800, 1600, or occasionally 3200 just so I can take pictures without needing a flash. without the flash, it looks like the lighting is perfect haha.
and actually, with the last set of photos, I was definitely turning on like every light in my basement and still shot at ISO 800. pretty ridic.
and hey, read your manual. and check out photo.net you can learn a LOT there. great site. and feel free to ask questions; our cameras are essentially the same.
The colours are lovely, as usual. :) I've been trying to mimic that flashlight thing, but I can never get it right. Ah well, hopefully with the purchase of an SLR it will become easier. :)
PS: The two pictures from your last post just ooze emotion- I love them.
the lighting thing is tough, and the photos here were just the best from a bunch that included some pretty crappy shots. it took a relative amount of trial-and-error before we were getting a hang of it. we were guessing for flash power and f/stops hahaha. and... yeah... getting an SLR will deff help out a bit.
