I NEED HELP.

late tuesday night, 10gb worth of photos were deleted while transferring files to a new hard drive. it's been kind of crazy, to say the least. it's totally my fault; I was clearing some files from the old storage device, and accidentally selected a folder that wasn't in the new hard drive yet. the problem is that folder contained

A year or so ago a nasty virus erased all the files on my hard disk including about 35 gig of photos. I did quite a bit of research on the internet and found a program that allowed me to retrieve everything.

I don't know how to retrieve deleted files, but I know that it can be done (how else do people catch music pirates, even if they deleted the stolen files?). There are a lot of livejournal communities about camera help, computer help, etc. so I'd check those out. Hope that helps!

eek. i lost pictures a few years ago and i still cry at night.

unfortunately i'm mostly a mac guy, but we use programs similar to uneraser to do the same thing on macs. i think this mostly depends on the trash can/recycling bin. good luck.
