I am having one hell of a maddening cricket problem, I haven't seen traps or bait in stores for crickets before, has anyone had to get rid of these things themselves? Any tips?
See here's my problem, I think I've got one of the fuckers living in my god damned wall. I've just about torn through my entire living room trying to find it to no avail. I even got up in my ducting system with no luck. I'm a big fan of the catch and release program, or the Demonia squishification method if they piss me off enough, but I can't lay eyes on the little bastard. :[
Ugh, that's the worst! I guess maybe spray some kind of bug killer around the offending areas? Hopefully the little beast will move out or croak very soon.

I've heard that boric acid sprinkled around kills crickets (and roaches too). And Google turned up this highly scientific advice:
"There are many non-toxic methods for managing cricket populations.
* Fly swatter
* Vacuum cleaner
* Heavy shoe
* Sticky traps"
So don't be using a non-heavy shoe to smoosh em :P

no, seriously, you hate crickets, but reptile stores everywhere *sell* the things. :) plus they make great pets.
