I always forget my tripod too. I've gotten pretty good at bracing my arms against anything I can find to help stabilize a shot. Sometimes passer-by's look at me a little weird since some of these bracing postures make me look like I am humping the rear quarter panel of my car or squatting for... well... we won't go there.
