why am i putting all of my effort into this?

It seems to me, that something tragic has to happen to me in order for me to write a book. I need to come down with an eating disorder and recover or I need to tell myself that I've recovered. people dont keep journals for themselves. they keep them for other people, like a secret they dont want to tell, but they want everyone to know.
