Got the full scoop last night. In a woman my age, vitamin D levels should be at 40. I am currently at 24. This is bad. It's not end-of-the-world bad, though. So, he wrote me a prescription for vitamin D, at the level of 50,000 units per dose, to be taken 3 times a week. (A normal supplement, by contrast, is like only 1,000 units.) I'll be on this

I tan year round, and when I am doing it regularly my skin itches less, and I feel perkier in general. Whether it's the tanning itself, or the fact I use the time to meditate or simply the time out I don't know.
