That's so odd.. are you normally able to keep it pretty regular?

Yeah, but my doctor changed my medication around, because it had been running too low. So they're just experimenting to see what my correct amount should be.

Oh geez, that sounds scary. Please check in with your doctor.

Yeah, thanks for your concern. I just had to change my medication, and so we're now trying to figure out the right dosage.

We should know really soon what works well for me.

Obviously, this is not the correct dosage. =P

That's scary, though. I hope you're doing better! *hugs*

Yes, normally it's ok though. :(

Wow, I definitely wouldn't be able to handle that. A guy I worked with last summer was diabetic and before meals, he'd have to give himself insulin and I'd just freak out whenever he did it.

Oddly enough, I don't usually need insulin.

I am rather unique in that instead of my pancreas NOT making insulin, it makes like 4 times too much, so my blood sugar isn't too high. Basically, my cells won't open up to the insulin, so my body just keeps making more and more, thinking it needs more. This is *mostly* good, because it doesn't tend to "cook" my insides, like most diabetics (most have major organ problems due to high blood sugar).

LOL, anyway. So mostly I have to check to see if it gets too low. But, since they changed my meds around it's been getting high.

I think shots are easier then the finger pokes all the time.

However, being in nursing school, I poke and get poked enough all day (for practice) so I just don't care anymore. LOL.
