Before we can get a business license, the fire and building inspectors need to walk through and deem the place safe. I have no idea if they'll be able to do that or not. We will find out. If not, I guess that answers our dilemma of whether or not to keep on keeping on

The inspections will probably trigger the whole block being slated for demolition. Or else my faith in fire inspectors is greatly mislaid.

No, I agree. I can't really imagine them seeing it as safe. But then again, maybe... I really don't know. It does have multiple exits in its favour.
