PBS is doing a poll, which asks if Sarah Palin is qualified to be Vice President. The right wing has organized a "YES" campaign - and currently the "YES" vote is leading the poll. How the FUCK can someone married to a member of an organization that wants the state she governs to leave the Union even running for Executive office under the guise that she is All-American, anyway? How fucking stupid are people?

Eh, I dunno dude - I don't care for her but at the same time I don't think people should judge candidates for the political views of their spouses (within reason, obviously if you're married to a neo-nazi or something that shows poor judgment of character in my eyes).

I think there's plenty wrong with her own ideas without having to look at those of her husband - I mean using that logic, feminist Hilary supporters should have all boycotted her because she's married to someone who thinks adultery is okay, no?

The AIG leader said in public that SHE "was n AIG member before becoming Mayor of a small town."

McCain's people deny it. I can only prove her husband was a member and that she attended multiple conferences the organization held, and that she said to the AIG, ""I'm delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaska Independence Party Convention. ... Keep up the good work!" just a few months ago.

So yeah, I think she is a separatist, or at least highly fucking supportive of a separatist organization, and feel pretty damn comfortable saying it.

Which is fine and all, if it's stuff she's said personally - I just dislike the way that candidates are so often judged based on their spouse, family or whatever rather than their own opinions.

Personally I don't have an issue with her supporting a separatist movement, there's plenty of things that bother me about her but that isn't one of them to be honest. Granted I'm not sure WHY someone who is a separatist would want to move into Federal government... seems counterproductive to me... but whatever floats her boat I guess.
