Favourite Pics

As you can imagine, during my daughter's recent visit there were a lot of photos taken. I will get around to sharing more as time goes on and things settle down more, but for now I thought I would share some of my favourites from her visit.

My littlest girl is growing up!

In many ways at nearly 13 she is still a little girl, but more and more I see glimpses of the woman she will become. This one I managed to catch on camera.

but for now, she is still the kid sister - my two girls together.

In some ways my girls are very alike and in others very different. It will be interesting to see how those similarities and differences develop as troll passes through her teen years and also becomes a young woman.

My troll and my tygrr - do you think they were having fun?

Grubblet was only 7 when I met hubby #3. She fitted into his family of redheads as though she were one of them and they have always treated her as such, even since our divorce. So it was natural for her to want to catch up with them while she was down here, so we took a trip with ex #3 to visit his family in his hometown. I have always been pleased that this ex has stayed close to me and my kids. His mum even used to knit jumpers for Troll when she was little. I really believe that sometimes family is where you find it and is not always defined by marriage, divorce or inheritance. It's very clear from these following two photos how close they still are, and how glad they were to see each other.

My ex being told in no uncertain terms he HAD to have his photo taken with her!

We may be divorced, but it's clear he is just as much 'family' as ever - and he's rather glad of that!

There is a place here in South Australia that I have loved since the first time I visited it. Over the years I have spent time there, soaking up the tranquility, thinking my thoughts and always coming away more sure of my path in life than when I arrived. Whenever I see it, I automatically take a deep breath and relax. The energies of the place are very positive and peaceful. It is hard to believe it lies so close to a busy and popular tourist attraction as one can sit there and forget the rest of the world exists. This time when we visited it as part of our 'touching base with old haunts' part of my daughter's visit, I had my digital camera with me.

Looking across Petrel Cove to King's Head from 'The Bluff' also known as Rosetta Head at Victor Harbour.

I have this pic on my desktop now and from time to time I catch myself doing nothing, just looking at it. From long times spent at the actual location I can conjur up the feel of the place simply by looking at the image. I can feel the tranquility, hear the waves on the rocks at the bottom of the cliff and feel the energies of the place seep into my very core. It is sometimes a long time between visits and now I have it right here with me.

Yes, there was lots of sightseeing done, lots of smiles and laughter and lots of fun but I think the thing that I loved most of all was seeing my favourite people together at some of my favourite places.

What more could a Dragon ask for?

*smiles*
