Headless Chook

Dec 19, 2007 22:45

Have you heard the expression 'tearing around like a headless chook'? It's similar in meaning to 'running around like a mad woman' or 'tearing around like a blue-arsed fly'.

Basically I've been busy.

Very busy.

After troll's graduation we had christmas shopping to do. We've had to wrap said shopping. We also had a christmas tree to put up and decorate. Then you get days like today when I've been down town in Adelaide until finally crawling home at 7pm tonight!

The next two days are quiet days which I am very much looking forward to, mainly planning on spending time with troll playing the new nintendo game some friends have lent us for the holidays and catching up with a good friend for coffee down in the city on friday.

Then on the weekend, it's into housework mode while we clean house ready for Christmas and grubblet's visit.

Speaking of which...at the moment it's wednesday night. She arrives down here on sunday night. She'll be staying at Tailem Bend sunday night and then on monday, I get to see Grubblet again!!! And all her family!!!!

That means...

ONLY FIVE MORE SLEEPS!!!!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm excited... just a teensy bit?...*grins*

Ok, it's late and I've had a long day, so here's some pics:

Oh christmas tree, o' christmas tree...

Troll's been complaining that she wants a NORMAL chrismas tree - one that's green! Of course, I reckon I like this one that much I'll end up having them bury it with me when I die...:)

Bella reckons there's something good in those christmas stockings!

The christmas booze was made early so we could take a bottle out to Robin, the guy we share siamese with, so that's one less thing to make on christmas eve. We still have to make the caramel tarts and the lemon tarts though, and grubblet reckons she's going to make a pavlova. I reckon i'll have to clean my fridge out this weekend!

Red.
