The Culprit
Just so you know why I may not be very chatty lately, or not online as much as usual, I do have a very good reason.
Now, it's not that my pc powersupply blew up, although that didn't help either. I, in fact, picked my pc back up today. Poor Melman had a blown main fan as well as the fried power supply. I suspect the fan may have been the thing that did the frying. There was a TON of dust in it all, so they said, so I've been fiddling around tonight reorganising my desktop so the tower can sit up here instead of down on the carpet. It will help at least a little, I think.
And it isn't even the fact I visited one of my favourite shops today either, although that did help delay me bringing Melman home from pc hospital. There is this dinky little crystal shop in Strathalbyn which I adore. I came out today with a few pretty trinkets to wear(including a new labradorite ring)as well as three new crystals - citrine, sunstone and peruvian opal!
It wasn't even the fact I picked up my new quilt cover set from layby today either (berry coloured faux silk..rrrowr!), or the fact I just had to buy a new purple watch as my current purple watch went flat and a new watch is much more fun than a new battery for an old watch! Or the fact I had to buy new slippers today because my old ones are falling apart. Of course I DO have quite a slipper fetish and really love the novelty types that are out each winter. Nope. None of that is the real reason why I'm not online much at the moment.

This!...This piece of utter cuteness goes by the name of Bigfoot.
My hand for perspective - remember, I have small hands!
Bigfoot is Little Flower's kitten and he and his mamma have come to visit to cheer tygrr up after losing the piggies (for those who don't know, a neighbours dog got into the yard last week and killed all 18 piggies). Little Flower's owner is the chap I do kitten socialisation for and he is such a softie that he couldn't bear the thought of tygrr being so upset after losing our piggies, so he sent Little Flower and her baby over to cheer her up!
Bigfoot was born on 7 January, so is about six weeks old. He is the only surviving kitten from Little Flower's first litter, which means that technically he should eventually belong to Troll as the breeder had promised Troll she could have a kitten from Little Flower's first litter.
Now, he's supposed to be visiting tygrr and might eventually belong to Troll - so how come he and his mamma are shacked up in MY room????
Well, it's because he is so small. Sometimes strange adult cats can kill young kittens and we thought it safer for a while that he be kept separate from the main mob of cats who live here. The bathroom already has Stardust in residence and she is not yet ready to come out to the main house yet. Troll's room has Piglet and Serenity sleeping in there of a night. Tygrr's room has Masked Lady, Jasmine, Gollum and often Brownie too sleeping in there. My room usually only has Bella the Beautiful so my room it had to be!
Mind you, Bella is NOT impressed at the freeloaders taking up lodging in HER room but she is getting used to it a little.
In the meantime, while tygrr is sleeping during the day, and while Troll is at school during the day, guess who is the only one around to spoil a kitten who is too cute for words...*evil smile*
So, if it comes to a choice between online and kitten cuteness, well, Bigfoot is going to win every time!
But then, really, who can blame me?
