Results
It would seem that my efforts of negotiating and interviewing boys is beginning to pay off. I consider myself very fortunate that I have found two very good boys who wish to serve on a regular basis.
Little fox is available four days a week most weeks, from 10am through to about 5pm. To serve he travels two and a half hours, each way via train and bus and now has the responsibility of keeping My home exactly how I wish it.
Cooper has less time to serve, as he works a normal 9 to 5 job but has natural aptitude and ability for working in my garden. Today he served from 12 noon through to 5pm and I must say already my garden has never looked better!
While I am all for female independance, one still cannot argue with the natural strength that testosterone gives - and a lifetime of practice at certain tasks. In the past tygrr has struggled with the mower, and doing the lawns has been a huge chore for her, but today cooper seemed to literally breeze through it without even raising a sweat!
Before he left today he asked if I would stroll around with him and let him know what I would like done in future so he can plan and prepare for it and there are more than enough tasks in need of attention:
- Some limbs of a young eucalypt tree need pruning to improve visablity when reversing from O/our driveway.
- The edges of the lawns all need doing.
- There are leaves to be raked.
- Garden beds in need of weeding
- shelving needs to be put up in the laundry.
- the Mower needs attention - service and cleaning
And Cooper is happy to take care of it all!
I've spoken to fox about how much travel time he has to do in order to serve, but he is adamant it is not a problem as he usually just sleeps while in transit. He takes the train into the city from where he lives and is woken by an 'end of the line' announcement, then walks three blocks to catch the bus up to the Hills where again he sleeps until the 'end of the line announcement'. So in his view, it's simply a change of sleeping venue! We have discussed the possibility of him moving closer in time when it becomes more sure that his position with us will be permanant.
While Cooper was here today we were also talking of the possiblity of him attending events - either munches or play parties in the city and I have contemplated introducing fox to these events also. So it would seem that not only is my housework being done, but I shall probably end up mixing more in the local scene as well. With tygrr and my two boys attending me I shall be one very proud Mistress indeed!
I think though, that tygrr summed up how positive has been the impact of the boys last night: she and I were snuggled up in bed talking and she smiled at me and said, "This is really cool. The boys do my work for me. I can just go to my job and relax and know someone is looking after you while I'm gone, and I'm the one who gets to snuggle up to you in bed!"
Really, who could want more?
I consider myself a very fortunate Mistress.
Indeed, a fortunate woman by anybody's standards!
