[There's an enormous explosion that rocks the boat violently, and then something that feels like an earthquake. Items will fall off shelves, passengers will be thrown off their feet, and walls will peel off

[Things have gone past ridiculous and into downright dangerous on the boat. Kobato, quite frankly, is getting tired of it. She's worried all the time and the recent turn of events have only increased her worry. The worst is coming and coming quickly if what's been going on with the boat lately is any inclination.
She needs some fresh air. Time alone to just breathe and think. So she heads up to the top deck, but as she reaches the top the ship suddenly shakes.]
AHH!
[She topples face first onto the open deck.]
Ow~
[Pushing herself up she's able to settle into a sitting position on the floor.]
What was...WHAT!! THE SKY!! THE...[Her voice cuts off. What is that?
She's so distracted she has yet to realize she's not alone.]
[Maia has had enough of this nonsense. First being taken from her world, then she was killed and told that both her home and brother had been destroyed, then her room goes missing, and now the rest of this miserable ship is going to hell.
She takes a moment to collect all the Dark Eco she has access to, removing the toxic substance from the containers and willing it to stay close to her. Maia is through being trifled with. The Dark Eco sage is going to find out what's going on, and she's going to find out now.
It isn't very long before Maia makes her way to the top deck, immediately taking notice of the man and the floating, red mass behind him.]
You.
What is going on here. [That's not a question, it's a command.]
[Yeah, Maia isn't really in the mood for polite chit-chat. The movements of Dark Eco swirling around her become erratic, and her body begins to crackle with bolts of dark electricity.]
[Well, that's... really not a good sign. He was on his way up to check on whatever refugees Hiccup assembled, and the sudden peeling and warping of the ship itself catches him off-guard. Ironhide stares for a moment before he pounds up the stairs the rest of the way, out onto the deck where Ratchet once dug up the lawn...
... And stops.]
All Spark...
[He's stunned into silence for a while before spotting the man. His good optic narrows.]
[Vincent was attempting to do a supply run in the infirmary with the entire ship went to hell, so he doesn't have to go far to get to the top deck.
Pitch. Black. Too dark and deep for even Vincent's eyes to find anything in it--except for that. Vincent's eyes narrow as they travel from the coiling shimmer of something that is NOT stars to the man with the box.]
What are you doing?
[It comes out a rough growl, the glow in his eyes flaring. He remembers the party, hello. This doesn't look good at all.]

Oh! Hello.
Um, what do you mean? Do you know what's going on?
[She makes a vague gesture to the sky and the thing currently occupying it.]

Well, I mean I suppose I do, really.

[Gambler takes a step back towards the mass, eyes glancing at everything except Maia.]

It wasn't really supposed to go down this way but I suppose there's no avoiding it now.
What is that?

Oh I was just um ... admiring the view. The sea looks lovely today!

There is no sky, no sun, nothing but you--
[He gestures at the mass of red, so much like the one they faced down at the party, with his gauntlet.]
--and that.
So I will ask again.
What. Are you doing?

Oh. Damn. I guess you can see it then.
But I really was watching! Isn't it pretty? It's always so pretty when it consumes.
