Sorry to bother you, but I'm currently writing an essay for university on the poetic function in language. To illustrate some of my arguments, I'm using several conversations that took place on off_highstreet. Would you mind answering a couple of questions about this conversation?
1) Can you remember why you chose to write "veggie" as opposed to "vegetarian"? Was is it because you like the way it sounded better? Or was it just easier to type? Or did you just take zoex's lead? Etc.
2) Can you remember why you might have chosen to write "French food" as opposed to "French restaurants"?
3) Which do you like more Mildred's or Saf? Which did you visit first? Which have you visited most often? In other words, is there any logical reason why you might have chosen to place Mildred's before Saf?
4) Finally, you chose to write "refurbed and reopened". Do you always you "refurbed" in place of "refurbished"? Any particular reason why?
