2. Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden 5. Connie Willis, Bellwether - I love this book! 6. Diana Wynne Jones, Charmed Life (?) 7. Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Hee, total crack! I haven't read the Dresden Files yet, though that's part of my ever-growing 'to read' list. My biggest reading crack has to be J.D. Robb's Death series. :D
I remember laughing out loud several times reading One for the Money, especially the part where Morelli sees Stephanie driving his vehicle.
I've really enjoyed the Dresden Files series so far. Jim Butcher has included almost every supernatural being out there in the series, but it doesn't seem forced, and for me, keeps it from getting boring. And more importantly, there aren't gratuitous sex scenes all over the place, which is a plus...actually, Harry doesn't get "lucky" very often. :-D
I read the first Death novel, but it didn't really grab me. I might try another one, since Robb/Roberts has written eleventy-billion of them. Is there one that is a particular favorite of yours?
Hey, for this meme, starting the book is what counts! XD
And yes, #9 is Dead Until Dark! I had to double check the title to make sure...Harris has far too many Dead's for me to keep track of and I had just recently read Dead and Gone. The names of the Southern Vampire books sorta run together for me.
Well, hey there, fellow Regina-ite! :-) I had been meaning to post the answers to this meme since everyone seemed guessed out, but hadn't gotten around to it. Anyway....
Yes, #1 *is* by Christopher Moore, but it's Bloodsucking Fiends, not A Dirty Job. But I'd say you guessed it since the Emperor is also in A Dirty Job, yes? (It is sad, I have an icon from the cover, but haven't gotten around to reading A Dirty Job yet. Bad me.)
And you're totally correct on #3. I loved The Graveyard Book *so* hard...it can't be a standalone book! It's too good to end it like he did! ::waah:: There has to be at *least* a Bod Trilogy, methinks. ;-) I am a fairly new convert to That Which Is Gaiman...I need to read more of his books ASAP! Do you have any particular favorites???

To be honest, I thought you might be able to guess a majority of them! heh ;-D
And I have turned into a Connie Willis junkie...I will be reading everything the woman has written at some point.

Man, the Stephanie Plum series is like crack, but not *quite* as crack-y for me as the Dresden Files, tho.

Hope you enjoy the book enough to finish it. ;-)
