Although I will warn you that purebred kitties (and dogs, for that matter) are more expensive than just the start-up cost - in addition to the normal cat costs (litter, food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, etc etc), they are more susceptible to health problems than a mutt would be, and a lot of them are specific to the breed. Read up on Scottish Folds if you haven't, and make sure that is something you can afford if it becomes an issue.
Otherwise, go for it! 2 months is plenty of time, as long as you're comfortable with leaving her while you're on your honeymoon :)
I totally will go to see that cat for you! Wouldn't mind in the least. I'll even give you the weather report.
My friend has one and loves her. The cat has so much personality and is so adorable. I have always wanted a Scottish Fold. I say do it! Sally Tomato needs a home!
