I'm giving myself this one

What a weekend! As I wrote, I did something to my neck that has screwed up my entire back and left me in quite a bit of pain. Today I woke up with my left eye full of gunk and gritty feeling. My lids were swollen and my vision was blurry, so after taking care of the dogs I left the kids with Eric and went back to bed. I slept for another couple ( Read more... )

I would have LOVED that bed as a kid. I've always like elevated beds and little cubbies. If she doesn't appreciate it I might kick her out and take it for myself.

This store has some of the coolest beds I've ever seen, but they're pricey. Years ago they had a bed that was all twisted iron and looked like something out of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I can't even tell you how badly Eric and I wanted it, but it cost over $2000 and that was more than our cars cost at the time.

I'm allergic to all kinds of pollen and this spring has had really high pollen levels. It started with tree pollen a few weeks ago and that caused a sinus infection. Now we have tree and grass pollens at high levels. My eyes have always been sensitive to allergens to having them be sore/itchy/dry/gritty/whatever is something I'm used to, but this is really bad. I probably need some prescription drops to clear it up. So, yeah. This is the same stuff I go through every year, but a lot worse than usual. This is the first year since I was pregnant with Delia that I've had to use an inhaler.

I would have loved that castle loft bed when I was little!!!

Hell.. I'd love it now if Dominic wouldn't object.

A couple of years ago they had a wooden pirate ship bed with built-in drawers and toy box at Costco. I really, really wanted it.

I hope Delia loves it. She's a little afraid of heights so it could go badly, but it's only like 40 inches high so she should be OK.

It's on the mend as of this morning so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's storming here and I'd rather avoid having to leave the house if I can.
