Dad asked that I clean out the closet in his spare room. Between his brother and I, we managed to empty it with only 2 things I know he uses, remaining. At about day 3 into it he asked me why I was doing it. He's gotten really good at accepting his memory loss as he didn't even twitch when I said, because you asked me to. I'm still getting through

Oh I like that idea! The uniform itself, hanging in the closet, would just gather dust and be forgotten - but getting all the insignia and patches and such off it and putting that on display with a photo of him in it - that's awesome!
