When people who want to adopt cats have to jump through all these hoops just to get a home visit, let alone be allowed to have a cat, it's no wonder people just give up and buy from a pet shop, who don't seem to particularly care where the cats go.

It also strikes me it would be far less harrowing for all parties if they'd be more easy going to start off with, then come & do an 'after-check' if wanting to be sure everythings gone alright.

Yes.. first email could have been a misunderstanding/rushed writing only, but by the second email incident (this after several upbeat and very friendly emails from me) I just felt like I was beating against the wall. Proper post (with a full end to the story!) up now.
