Jodie after hearing about mum's robin thought she should feed this demanding robin she called Bip as he makes a Bip noise to her. Bip follows her about and follows her down the road sometime since she started feeding him.

Sounds like your grandmother was a remarkable lady.

She was. It's one of the great sadnesses in my life that I never had a chance to know her; there were so many stories surrounding her.

Robin's I think has quite a reputation for being human friendly ~ I do love them too. Other birds are far harder to charm! ;-)

Mum has a little problem with the blue tits in the garden. They might nest in the garden and they might eat the food mum puts out for the birds, but one glimpse of her and they are off.

They are quite funny birds as they "steal" the food mum puts out for the robin. They fly up, look both ways, then grab something and quickly fly off with it to eat it.

They impressed me when I first heard them! (I only found out through my aunts as my dad had decided to brush it aside as insignificant) ;-)

Besides the occasional fun banter, the links is the one thing FB is good for. I gathered people who are not on there would not know of it, so thought this was one was interesting enough to transfer to over here. :-)
