I braved the gale and popped into my nearby fabric emporium at lunch time today. I was just looking, and yet somehow, returned to the office with 3.5 m of 'wool' in a lovely shade of red - not too tomatoey or pillar-boxy, ever so slightly pinkish but not a real burgundy.

I think anything with a ball on the end is bad news in the acrylic department. montjoye seems to be the go to person for this sort of thing.
