I'd attempt motivation, but I'm not sure which kind you respond to best. Should I attempt reverse psychology, aggressive scolding, or sympathetic comfort? A combination of these? Something else entirely? I might just cop out with action tags: *says something really motivational. Writing ensues* -_-

Hmm...that's the problem. If I could figure which I'd respond to best I'd use it on myself. I generally respond to emotional bludgeoning/brutalising, but it doesn't always make me very happy. :p I like the use of action tags ( ... )

Thankyou! As ever, you've captured your character delightfully. Alas, Riff is rather lacking in lolz. He only really seems to amuse when Girl!Cain is around, and then that's largely by association. Because GIrl!Cain makes every situation hilarious. Or is that just for me? XD
I love your take on RIff's changing feelings as Cain grew up. The emotions between those two are always so hard to figure out, because they seem obsessed but always make sure to maintain that distance. As you suggest, I suppose that's because of their feelings - their fear of shattering things.

Hmmm, three facts about my beloved. Ok.
♠ Gojyo was the first person he slept with after that night. Well, I do need to give Kensei a lot more thought if this epic fic is ever going to be written.
♠ Kensei's not the nurturing sort. Definitely not. He is a strong, stoic, no-nonsense sort of man, but there's something about the aching loneliness in Shuuhei's eyes that makes him want to...do some combination of 'hold him', 'give him a stern talking to' and 'fuck him through the nearest, solid, vertical or horizontal surface'.
♠ Kensei firmly believes there are very few situations that cannot be dealt with via a firm 'fuck off' or a swift uppercut to the jaw.
♠ He once found a stack of sketches Lisa had done of Shinji and Urahara. He hasn't been able to look at Urahara, or his fan, in quite the same way since.
Yeah, I'm lame at the moment, blame work. Too tired to be cool.:p
