♠ Well, I have a shiny new Macbook Pro. xD It's very pretty, I'm just having to train myself to use a Mac after years of windows. I do like it. Mostly. Some things irk me, but I'm sure that we just have to take some time to get accustomed to each other. The new beast is names Hijikata, after the character in Hakuouki, which is a terrible anime, but

Can't believe you're in my state at the moment, how are you enjoying the freezing cold? :p

And Shinra, I have an unhealthy love for Shinra. He's so fucked-up. ♥

Which one is he again? I'm still getting all the characters straightened out in my head.

Shinra is the underground doctor - you may not have run into him yet. (I watched anime and am reading translations of the light novels, so I'm not sure whether or not he shows up in a different place. Fairly early on in the anime, though.

Oh yes, I remember him now. I did know who he was, I just have a moment of brain fail. :p Whenever my mind hears 'Shinra' it defaults to Rufus Shinra from FFVII. :p I find him entertaining, if also a bit creepy...but then, there seem to be a lot of characters like that.

To sum up.
YAY!!!! External Hard-drive!
Yay!!! Yaoi (I love me some Heaven's Love to be honest, there's a Kensei, Renji AND longer haired Shuuhei look alike in there).
DURARARA YES YES YES. Watch the anime, trust me. The manga has only 12 chapters translated, and it came after the anime began. I say this as an avid Manga lover, the anime will knock you on your ASS. So, so fabulous. I watched all 24 episodes in three days.

Yes, 'YAY' summed it up for a while there, but now the new machine is reading all the files on my EHD as being read-only. Not good. Not good. I feel my blood pressure slowly rising. :p
Oooh, I haven't heard of that one. I might just have to investigate. Anything with a long-haired Shuuhei look-alike sounds delicious. I find most straight out yaoi tends to turn me off with the cliches and bad character dynamics, but then every now and again I find a series which sort of restores my faith.
Ah, ok, I will watch it then. I tend to assume the manga always existed first. :p I've heard heaps of good things about the anime though, so I think I'm going to have to try it.

OH NO!!!!
Kill it like a bitch.
Yes. but be warned! If you watch it, you may never be able to tolerate sub-par animation ever again.

I must confess myself a fan of Hakuouki. XD I dare say you have a point about it lacking plot, but my favourite thing about it (apart from, you know, the excess of bishies) are the character relationships, so it doesn't bother me. And I find it a lot less irking than many shoujo series I've come across.
Royally screwed-up characters, you say? This Durarara bears investigating. :3

It's great. xD I do love the characters (though sometimes I wish there was more actual character development), and I ship Hijikata/Okita and Saitou/Harada like the unabashed fangirl I am. :p Though I would ship those four in pretty much any combination. I really don't like Chizuru (and I find her supposed 'disguise' very unconvincing...she is about as masculine as...I don't know, it's late. :p But she's not very masculine). I have a very low tolerance for shoujo as a general rule. Possibly an unreasonably low tolerance. Like me and rom-coms, shoujo and I do not get along.
Oh yes. Characters who make Izare look like a prime example of normality.
