♠ THIS SONG.

I love it. I mean, I love Within Temptation generally, but I really, really like this song. Sharon is also, in my opinion, one of the most talented front-women out there. Her voice is just such a perfect blend of strength, classical training and sincerity. I still love the way she sun in The Silent Force, but I think her style here ( Read more... )

xDDDD I love it so much. SO good. I didn't either, I stumbled across it when they linked it on FB.

Isn't it just? Not good. I cannot deal with heat, so I'm really pleased it has cooled down this morning. Please let it stay this way.

Thankyou!

Original fic? I wanna see! And I'm sorry it's so hot at your place.

Tehe, I'm so paranoid about letting people read my original fic, so I'm not sure what the likelihood of me ever posting any of it would be. I'm flattered you're curious though!

Nothing wrong with original fic. Are you sharing? I'm about ready to re-tackle my original fic and I'm debating whether or not to share. It might be boring for y'all...it's just an adventure mystery.

Enjoy Australia. Is that where you live permanently? Wow...I keep hearing about how awful Vegemite is and I figure it's like peanut butter in the US. I used to hate peanut butter and now I love it.

Keep cool :-)

I may...I'm not sure, I tend to be a bit paranoid about sharing my original fic. You, however, should totally share yours. xD I'm sure it would not be boring for us at all.

Tehe, yes, 'tis my homeland. Vegemite is disgusting. I would be roundly condemned by a lot of my fellow citizens for saying that, but it is. Very occasionally I crave it (probably because of its massive salt content), but I can only scrape a tiny bit on to toast. Too much and it is just repulsive. Have you ever heard Amanda Palmer's vegemite song? Because that totally sums it up.

It cooled down a little last night. So much nicer.

Well...I'd have to cut the my OF down to almost half and spice up at least 2 of my characters with some UST :-) But maybe...we'll see.

If you go to www.stabenow.com, Dana Stabenow (mystery author from Alaska) has a nice run-down on how to advertise yourself when it comes to original writing. i.e. not anonymous. Also, finding agents, creating a readership following, etc. Lots of work, but useful info. I hope to need it someday.

We have freezing rain right now. Want some?

OMG I have never met an Aussie I didn't like :-) Few years back we were setting up camp at this massive medieval reenactment event and this Aussie lady was there. Somebody got a skunk (a weasel family animal, black and white, sprays smelly musk in self-defense) in their tent, and we were all debating IF the skunk goes off, IF there was anyting in there worth saving or whether it would be better just to roll up the tent, toss it, and call it a loss. Our honored guest didn't understand about local fauna and wanted to photograph the "pretty kitty". We warned her. She persevered, approaching. We kept warning her, she was still charmed. Finally we all said, "GO RIGHT AHEAD!" and moved maybe 15 meters back. Then she figured we were serious...but she was used to such toxic animals, being skunked was probably pretty low on the totem pole. She was so cool. 'nyway, just a stray story for you.

Poor you, that sort of heat is really uncomfortable :(

I didn't know you write original fics, too. What kind of stories do you write?

Thankfully it seems to be cooling down a little, touchwood.

Oh, I write all sorts. Urban fantasy, real-life sort of stories, some original boylove stuff. Depends a lot on my mood. I find fanfic a lot less trying to write because I'm not generating my own characters, I'm playing with existing characters who already have defined personalities. But I do love writing my own stuff when I have the energy and motivation.

That's why I like fanfic, too. The characters are all fleshed out and I get to play. It allows me to actually experiment and learn stuff because a lot of the work is already done.

That's good :)

Your original writing sounds like fun, if you ever decide to post it online, I'd be interested in reading it :) Lol, yeah, I feel the same about fanfiction, sometimes it really is easier to write than original fics :)
