♠ I'm still here! :p It's been a bit of a crazy couple of weeks - back at uni, back at work, plus I've been going out a lot (unusual, I know). As a consequence I am cheerful but exhausted. :p And I have less money than I would like to have. Still, totally worth it. Trust me, it does hurt a lot more! I have mine out when I was 20, choked on the first dose of liquid T3, and they had to intubate me...only an hour after surgery. Yeah, messed up my throat even more. Just be very, very cautious about drinking anything. (And stay away from ice cream--I know they say it's soothing, but it makes you phlemy, and when you try to clear your throat it hurts...ALOT).

I just finished Ginn Hale's Lord of the White Hell and it was a fabulous two book series. I read Wicked Gentlemen ages ago and am hungry for more of her work. I need to check out Rifter.

Good luck with your operation! I'm sure it will go well. Maybe people are just overplaying how painful it is so that the reality won't seem nearly as bad? You never know. >.>
