knitting it all together

Yesterday was tough, i spent three hours or so trying to do two simple tasks which I probably could have done in 15 minutes if I hadn't been too proud to ask someone for help. I asked Wood for help, but he didn't know. i got a sense of achievement out of figuring out how to do one of them myself but then the printers rang and offered to do both ( Read more... )

Bamboo is fantastic to knit with, and it keeps in the heat wonderfully so its great for socks.

I saw some socks in a camping shop yesterday, they were "hand knitted, just for you". They were made with chunky yarn and would have taken an evening. They were £25 and I coughed a lot at that! We are truly in the wrong busineses.

If you are looking to use your too small bath mat for something else, have you considered selling it as a CatFlapMat?
You'll be surprised to learn that these are not often found in shops! :0)

I've knitted using bamboo & bought bamboo socks from a shop. I want to try knitting with hemp as it's meant to get softer with use & tougher. I wonder for how much the socks I knitted for a shop were sold to the public. I posted a sock pattern on LJ a while back.

I'd like to try hemp but the ones Ive seen online look so stringy. I havent seen any in a shop I could feel first.

How much did the socks you knit for a shop pay you? Jen and I keep thinking we should knit to sell.
