Here in Luxembourg we have the perfect blend of nature and artificial structures. It is as if someone carefully placed each and every piece. Ruins stand, forgotten markers of a civilization no longer around to maintain them. Brick tunnels pass through the hills as if they were sprung from the Earth itself. Few other places in the world are like this. America certainly isn't. They have little respect for the beauty of nature and would never work with nature instead of against it.
I love going through hill tunnels particularly when the grass has grown up and over the tunnel. When I was younger, I used to just stand there in the middle and would pretend that the Earth was swallowing me up and would allow me to escape from the world if even for just a little while.
This is what Europe has that America doesn't. America is nice, but it doesn't have the perfect blend of the natural and the artificial.
