I am just one of many readers of your blog that you know nothing about. I stumbled on it from a search of “Chinatown” and have been a reader for several months. I remember the loneliness of business trips and relate to your descriptions of them. I am closer to your grandfather’s age than yours, so his story touched me. I can imagine, in like 50 years, in a blog of a little American child - there will be a story about its grandmother, who was a Vietnamese ...

I just hope my grandkid will still remember my name.

It would be nice if they make a documentary about his/her Vietnamese-Chinese-American grandma. :)

Dear Roger,

Thank you for reading my journal. I didn't know my journal is well publicized! My Chinese grandfather's life was very interesting but I was never given a chance to learn more about him. My Chinese heritage is forever lost. :( That's unfortunate!

That's so nice you still have friends from high school. I don't have good contact with most of my high school friends. :(
