Wooaaaaaahhhhhh.

This was marvelous! I simply love the way you've managed to include both the Doctor and Lucy, and how you imply how broken she is, both physically and psychologically.

I call for a sequel!

He watched her reactions, carefully checking for the twitch of an eye or the blink of a tear. She didn't say when she hurt, he just had to guess.

Why wouldn't she react? Why wouldn't she say something, anything?

"There's abrasions across her back," he said, touching the raw skin with his gloved hand. "Have you had a gynecologist in here yet, to check her for any abuse?"

He hid his internal horror with a calm, clinical approach. It was very doctorly of him.

Lucy blinked rapidly. Had they had a gynaecologist in here yet? She couldn't remember, it was all like a blur to her, a day dream of sorts. The images she had seen in the last week were surreal to say the least. She had hardly believed the Doctor was real when he had first come to see her, let alone volunteer to look over her injuries when the other doctors had complained of her unwillingness to behave properly.

She was afraid of him now, and it was that fear which made her stay quiet and still. Perhaps it was better not to respond at all in these circumstances.

Lucy yelped very quietly to herself as she felt a cold finger trail across a rough series of scratches on her upper back. It was Harr...no, no. It was the Master who had dragged her by the hair across the deck after she had refused to share their bed with another one of his women, his whores. Lucy closed her eyes.

It felt like another world.

The Doctor nodded at the nurse's response, then reached down to check beneath her arm. Then, just as methodically, he stepped around and in front of her, running his gloved hands over her jaw and throat.

"I think there's some calcification of her jawbone, possibly from multiple fractures." He didn't need to touch her to know that. He'd seen her face swell with bruises many, many times before.

"Eyes appear dilated." To her, he finally said, "Can you hear me?"

Lucy's nose wrinkled. The way he touched her face with his cold almost completely alien like hands made her shiver. Her throat felt like it might cease up as he ran his hand over her jaw, looking down at it with his eyes which once seemed so warm to her. Now they just felt clinical.

Can you hear me?

Lucy looked away from him uncomfortably, focusing her eyes on a window which was situated to her right. Outside it looked relatively peaceful, relatively of course.

"Yes..." she whispered back though dry lips, swollowing hard. It was like taking a pill dry, she struggled, coughing just a little.
