DUDE...Im sorry but Im TOTALLY sidding w/ trav on this one, hes got such diverse taste!! its great!! haha we even talked about this a while ago. he admitted to liking hip hop and i almost droped dead. lol. why draw the line anywhere? its MUSIC, you cant just DRAW A LINE!! OMG, SOUNDS like SHIT?! do you realize how RELATIVE that statement is?? what SOUNDS like shit to one person can be complete fuckin beuaty to someone else. and it also doesnt mean that the music isnt GOOD, or that theres not some inner kill to it, because you think it "sounds" like shit..thats ridiculous. to me punk rock "sounds like shit", i dont bash you for listening to it. and i wouldnt say it "sucks" (i have before, to piss people off haha ) but anyway..music is not subjective, unless the bands freakin led zeppelin or somthing...then thats pretty hard to argue with. haha .
oh, woah now. i said "sounds like shit" because it sounds like shit to ME sure it might be beauty to somebody else, its just hard for me to see that way since it makes my stomach flip. and most of the people i know that listen to that only listen to it to fit in to a certain "group". but i understand that some people appreciate that kind of thing. and ohhhh, you think punk rock sounds like shit? dude, you listen to plenty of music that is punk rock, or at least has punk rock tied into it. but then again, everybody does, and yes, everbody is entitled to their own opinion, and so on, and so on. all i was trying to get at is that i am dissapointed because honestly, out of any band ever, i would have to say my least favorite is DC. and the cure. thats all. ka-fucking-peesh
MOST punk rock sounds like shit to me, like the sex pistols, or w/e w/e. yea , i do listen to some, cuz some of its damn good. and a lotta other good music has punk rock influences, im not taking away from it, my only point is that music is totally relative and i dont thnik anyone should be DISSAPOINTED in anyone for liking a certain band. the only reason to be dissapointed in anyone regarding is MUISC is if they shut out certain bands with out givin em shots, or close their minds off and be totally ignorant assholes. (im not saying you are, cuz your usually pretty open minded) and thats good! but thats the only reason Id really be dissapaointed in someone as far as music goes..
