CHAPTER TEN PART B: KYUHYUN TO HYUKJAE
“Even if I hate doing this and it’s against my will, I need to talk to you about Hyukjae, about my family”
“I am listening then…” Kyuhyun said confidently.
“I guess you already figure out about what we are now….” Donghae said while walking to one of the dusty bench, blow it a little to clean it from the dust. Kyuhyun just eyeing him
“Yeah, I am not dumb you know”
“Took a genius like you so long to figure it out, right?” Donghae cross his arms on his chest.
“Just straight to the point. I don’t have much time” Kyuhyun looks at his wrist watch to emphasize the
little time he has.
“For a mere human, you sure have so much guts. You are still so rude even you know that there are five vampires here ready to kill you any time”
Donghae teased Kyuhyun but Kyuhyun just make a low chuckle for it to make sure Donghae won’t sense his fear. He read it on internet that vampire can sense fear but he fails to read that vampires can read minds. Donghae smirks hearing Kyuhyun’s thought.
“Try hard to hide your fear, KYUHYUN?”
Kyuhyun is a bit startled but compose his self once again to remain cool and calm. He bravely walks to Donghae and makes himself comfortable on the bench with Donghae. Donghae just laugh silently.
“Donghae, just like him we don’t have much time talking. You promise Hyukkie you will be home before seven and it’s already 6.30 now.”
Junsu walks to the see saw with Taemin, do not care so much about their talk with Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun is slightly mad, Hyukjae is waiting for Donghae to come home? He is a bit jealous actually. Donghae can be with Hyukjae anytime while he can’t. Donghae is the only person that can protect Hyukjae while he can’t. Because of his anger and jealousy Kyuhyun without thinking hit the light pole near the bench, making the five vampires looking at him.
“Well, as you said we don’t have much time so I’ll tell you my thought here.”
“Good then..” Kyuhyun mumbled still having his poker face.
“Hyukjae asked us to move out of town” Donghae said simple and understandable. Kyuhyun looks at Donghae, confused all over his face.
“Move? When? Why?”
“My dad still objects to her wish so we also do not know about that.”
Silence is coating them. The only things heard is Taemin and Junsu’s laugh on the see saw.
“Is it because of me?” Kyuhyun unconsciously asked, so out of his character but damn to it.
“You are still asking that? From the start I already told you to stay away but you still pestered her like a leench and now the bad thing we do not want to happen is already happen and you are still asking me wheter it is because of you? What do you think smartass? Whose fault is it?”
Kyuhyun makes a fist and ready to retort back but he realize Donghae is right, it’s all because of him. The tension is raised and everyone is quite including Taemin and Junsu who listen carefully. Minho walks to Donghae and squeezes his shoulder to warn him to be calm.
“Hyung, this is not the reason we talk to him, if you can’t handle this let me speak to him and you just go home before Hyukkie noona starts to search us.”
Donghae just gives him a look and glare. They exchange thought and Kyuhyun is being oblivious about that. Dongahe sighs and stands.
“Fine, you talk I’ll be quite. Quick, Hyukkie is waiting”
Minho takes Donghae’s spot on the bench and gives Kyuhyun his charismatic look. Kyuhyun just raises his eye brow.
“So, we do not want to move out of this town yet and we also know Hyukkie noona doesn’t want either but she is just being confused, confused of you. We thought that maybe if you could talk to her about what had happen that night she can be fine again and choose to stay”
Minho talks slowly making sure Kyuhyun knows what he meant and can decide wisely. If he doesn’t decide right, Minho himself will take care of him.
“You ask me to talk to her? You all let me meet her?” Kyuhyun said unbelievabingly. Minho just nods.
Kyuhyun looks at Donghae and he finds the latter guy is just look at him hard. Kyuhyun chuckles slowly, making Donghae gets mad.
“What’s so funny now, you human! I can kill you with my bare hands but you are laughing at me!”
“It’s so ironic, as far as I remember, you never like me get close to Hyukjae now you ask me to talk to her”
Donghae is more than mad to Kyuhyun. He walks to Kyuhyun in the blink of eye and before anybody could stop him he already grab Kyuhyun’s collar. His eyes are turning red and his fangs slowly come out. Kyuhyun swears he is trembling in fear right at that time.
“Ironic it is, having you under my graps right now and I can crush your neck easily like a piece of cake!”
“Hyung, calm down…”
Minho holds Donghae’s hand which is currently gripping Kyuhyun’s collar. Donghae galres at Minho but lowered his hand nonetheless. Minho is sure smart to use his ability in this kind of situation. Kyuhyun’s heart is still racing and he is holding it to keep it calm. Kyuhyun is still trembling and his legs are giving up on him. Taemin comes to him immediately and holds his hand. Kyuhyun is shocked, he tries to take his hands back but Taemin just smile and holds his hands in her palm. He doesn’t know why but his body is being calm by seeing Taemin’s smile. Donghae looks at the scene in front of him just snickers.
“Where’s that I’m-not-scared-look go by now? Where is that arrogant bastard guy go? Tsk… Don’t try to joke around with me Kyuhyun! I am not someone who you can play with.”
Donghae walks to his car, intend to leave the park because if he is still there he might kill Kyuhyun in a blink of eye. Damn he hates that guy! Before walking too far, Donghae looks back, still with that red eyes that scared Kyuhyun. Donghae smirks.
“If you don’t want to meet her, it’s more than okay with me. It’s not that I need you to talk to her, I can handle it by my self and if she wants to leave, I’ll come with her. You don’t need to come and see her anymore.”
Kyuhyun watches Donghae goes to his car and speed off immediately, leaving his other siblings with him. Junsu is the first one to react.
“Now Kyuhyun, time to be serious.”
Kyuhyun looks at Junsu who is standing next to Yoochun whose arms are around Junsu’s waist.
“Hyukkie plans to go by her self if we do not agree to move out. What scared us the most is she unintensionally shows us her exact plan.”
“What plan?” Kyuhyun listens carefully and not saying a word until the right time now. He doesn’t have enough power to fight vampires.
“Hyukkie unnie wants to kill herself.”
“What? Why?”
“She has no more intention to live, these 70 years she spent in sorrow because she hates her self for being a monster. She survived until now just because of us, her new family and because of Donghae who always said to her that he is going to kill himself too if Hyukkie leave.”
Kyuhyun’s face fell hearing Donghae’s name.
“There is Donghae, you don’t need me. Dongahe can handle her, right?”
Junsu and Taemin exchanges glance and smiles secretly. Junsu looks at Kyuhyun who is currently plays with his motor bike’s key.
“Yes. Donghae can handle her everytime, we all are aware of that. But Kyuhyun, we are all aware to that Hyukjae’s heart starts to beat again and it’s not because of Donghae, but you. She starts to smile again because of you and she starts to forget her past because of you. Even now, she wants to be rebellious by leaving the town and killed her self without Appa’s permission because of you. Don’t you realize that you already make something new in her unbeating heart?”
Kyuhyun who is hearing it looks at Junsu expectantly. Does he really do those things to Hyukjae? He really wants to know about Hyukjae’s feeling.
“We are not forcing you to see Hyukjae, but we don’t want to lose her like this. So, please be wise, even if you hate her now at least tell her not to leave and blame her self again like this.”
Yoochun step forward to speak and Kyuhyun just nod. Kyuhyun needs to make sure everything, Hyukjae’s feeling and his feeling. He needs to be sure whether he can be like his mother’s grandma or not.
“When can I meet her?”
Taemin smiles happily haering that and claps her hand.
“Would you come for dinner tonight, Oppa?” Kyuhyun is taken aback by that question, he never imagine it that he will have dinner at Hyukjae’s house, a house full of vampires. Is he ready for that?
“Dinner?” Kyuhyun knits his eyebrow. Junsu just chuckles.
“Umma loves to cook human food even we ca’t eat those but Hyukkie always being nice and tries to eat the food, to be like human. So don’t be too scared, we have enough food for you and we also won’t touch you”
“Touch me? You mean eat me?” Minho and the others just laugh.
“We can’t do that. Hyukkie noona already claim you by drinking your blood so you are only hers, we can’t touch you”
“Claim me?” Kyuhyun asked confusedly, he surely never read it on internet about this claiming thing.
“Long story, we need to be hurry. It’s getting dark” Yoochun said and the siblings are moving too with him.
“Hey, I don’t know your address…” Kyuhyun said still sitting on the bench.
“Just follow our lead, we will be slower this time” Minho said and Kyuhyun just nod. He stands up and walks to his bike while fishing out his phone to text his mother, telling her he will be late. Kyuhyun then starts his bike’s engine and follows Minho’s Hummer.
*****Kim mansion
Donghae arrives at his home in a few minutes and find Hyukjae sits on the swing he himself made for her years ago. Donghae feels contended and relieve seeing Hyukjae is still there waiting for him. He comes closer to her slowly with no sound, planning to surprise her but when he is just a meter away, Hyukjae turns to see him. He has this playful smile on him while scratching his head, feeling stupid being caught like that. Hyukjae just look at him with that expressionless face again. Donghae sighs and drops his smile and walks faster to her side. He sits on the swing near Hyukjae’s swing, the one Yoochun made for Junsu.
“It’s the fourth day you are not smiling Hyukkie. It’s making me sad”
“You can’t feel Hae, we can’t. We don’t have any heart to feel like that.” Hyukjae said emotionless while swinging.
“Feelings aren’t come from heart Hyukkie, it’s made in our brain. I think you are smart enough to know that, it’s in the Biology lesson” Donghae tried to joke but Hyukjae remains quite.
“Why are you being so quite? Are you mad at me?” Donghae gets down from his swing and stops Hyukjae’s swing and kneels in front of her while holding the swing still.
“I don’t want to talk about this Hae…” Hyukjae diverts her attention from Donghae’s eyes. Donghae with one hand holds Hyukjae’s chin to look at him.
“Stop blaming your self Hyukkie. He is okay now, why are you thinking so much about him?”
“Donghae please, I don’t want to talk about this again. I just want to leave….”
“You are not going anywhere without me Hyuk. What is so special about him? You even claim him yours.”
Hyukjae pushes Donghae’s hands away from her and walks to the house. She is so not in mood to talk about this with Donghae besides she knows, Donghae will be hurt again, she doesn’t want it. Donghae looks at her back, eyes looks lonely and sad.
“Is it true your heart starts to beat again because of him?” Hyukjae stops in her tracks but then walks again with no answer. Donghae touches his chest where his cold heart located.
“Mine is always beating for you, Hyukkie…” Donghae whispers slowly, sure Hyukjae is not hearing him because he can’t read or hear anything in her mind.
Hyukjae gets into the house only to find her mother prepares the huge dining table with human food. Hyukjae is confused so she comes to her. Leeteuk is humming happily and all smiling while seeing Hyukjae comes.
“Oh, Hyukkie help me with the food will you? This dining table is so big I wonder why I bought it in the first place” Leeteuk points the kitchen but Hyukjae stay still.
“What are these Umma?”
“We are having a guest tonight.”
“Who? We never have guest before and human? Are they Appa’s human friends?”
“You’ll find out sweetheart. Now if you don’t want to help me, go upstairs and change your clothes. You haven’t changed your clothes since this morning. Didn’t you take a bath?”
Hyukjae just rolls her eyes to her Umma. She also smiles a little and goes to the kitchen to help her umma. Leeteuk sometimes feels it useful that Hyukjae doesn’t use her power, she doesn’t even care with her powers sometimes. But it makes her frowning too, it’s the fourth day her daughter closes her self from anybody, blocks her minds, stop reading minds, stop listening and even stops drinking her strawberry milk supplies which mean she hasn’t drink a single blood after the night at Kyuhyun’s house. She is more than happy when she heard Minho and the others are coming home with Kyuhyun. She hopes by talking to Kyuhyun, her Hyukkie will be okay.
*****“Hyukkie, will you come down?”
“Why Umma?” Hyukjae is currently laying on her bed, thinking blankly while Leeteuk comes in with her angelic smile.
“The guest has come, be polite to him and accompany him eating, Okay?”
“Why do I have to?”
“Just come with me…” Leeteuk then drags Hyukjae dowm stairs to the dining room, where the entire family is seated calmly with the guest.
Hyukjae can’t believe her eyes when she saw Kyuhyun sits on one of the chairs in the dining room. She is too incoherent that she doesn’t realize it her mother already drags her in front of Kyuhyun to have a sit. She sits there but her eyes never leaving Kyuhyun and so does Kyuhyun. In front of her there are many kind of dishes, Korean foods, Jappanesse food and even French foods. She let her eyeswander to the foods she helps her mother makes earlier. But there is only one plate that is in front of Kyuhyun. The others are just having a glass of blood in a wine glass.
Hyukjae then looks at her family members who immediately glance away from her. Junsu is having a toss with Yoochun, Taemin is getting her glass a refill, her mother is busy talking with her father, while Donghae and Minho are eyeing her from the corner their eyes. She then looks at the person in front of him, Cho Kyuhyun. She is suddenly feeling angry.
“What are the meaning of these!?” The others are quite then Kangin speaks.
“We are having guest here, Hyukkie. Be polite to him and let him enjoy the meal you and your mother made. Come on Kyuhyun, eat. We will be eating too”
Taemin who is sitting right next to Kyuhyun, takes a slice of baked chicken and puts it in Kyuhyun’s plate.
“There, try it Oppa. Hyukkie unnie made it this afternoon” Taemin smiles and Kyuhyun smiles back. He is nervous, how does he suppose to eat it with vampires all over him, watching him eating. But seeing that the others are waiting for him to eat and considering it’s Hyukjae’s hand made he brace him self to taste it. He takes a bite and from the corner of his eyes he can see the happy expression from the others, except Hyukjae.
“It’s delicious, just like the one from restaurant.”
He smiles and the air seems much lighter now. Taemin puts some foods again in his plate and he just laughs.
“That’s enough Taemin, I might burst later if you put everything on my plate”
Taemin just smiles sheepishly to him, looking so cute and innocent.
“I am just feeling so happy because we are finally have a guest and having a dinner like this”
She chuckles while holding her glass up. Kyuhyun watches her drinking some blood and then turns her head to Minho. He observes everyone, they are drinking some blood but Hyukjae just sits on her chair, looking at him without touching her glass. He frowns a bit. He heard from Junsu earlier that Hyukjae has stopped drinking blood for four days and he also learns that the blood usually in her strawberry milk, that’s why Hyukjae can drink it. He hears a lot about Hyukjae while waiting for her to come down earlier and it gives him a proud feeling inside. He is the first guy who can go this far with this family and Hyukjae.
“Aren’t you thirsty, Hyukkie?” Leeteuk asked her but Hyukjae keeps silent. Donghae pushes his chair and goes to the refrigerator, taking away a cartoon of strawberry milk. He opens it and pours it to the wine glass. He also drops some blood in it. He walks to Hyukjae’s chair and puts it in front of her.
“Drink it please Hyukkie, you might get sick.”
Hyukjae looks at Donghae who is pleading. Hyukjae sighs and takes her glass up. Kyuhyun takes a note of it. Donghae really can handle Hyukjae. Kyuhyun doesn’t like it. Hyukjae gulps down her glass clean while looking at Kyuhyun who is eating his foods but his eyes are on Hyukjae. Kyuhyun looks at her intently, finding her changing eyes from black to red then back to her usual brown eyes. Kyuhyun almost chokes on his food seeing it.
After a few minutes eating, chatting and drinking, the room is silent again. Hyukjae then stands up first.
“I’m going out for a walk”
“Hyukjae wait!” Kyuhyun suddenly said, Hyukjae looks at him but looks away immediately. She is already on the front door that Kyuhyun excuse him self. Donghae just look at them cautiously, wanting to come too but Taemin holds him and shakes her head. Donghae then just heads to his room, slamming the door. He can see from his window Kyuhyun is catching Hyukjae. He then focuses his attention to them so he can hear their conversation
Kyuhyun and Hyukjae at the yard
Kyuhyun is running after Hyukjae and just in time he grips her wrist, making Hyukjae stops. He is a bit surprised thought. Hyukjae used to push him away easily and let go of his grip but today Hyukjae doesn’t even resist. Hyukjae turns to him, pale and looks very sick and that hits Kyuhyun. Hyukjae is thirsty so she has not enough power to send Kyuhyun away.
“Let me go. I don’t want something bad happen”
“You won’t hurt me…” Kyuhyun said to Hyukjae but it’s like he is convincing him self too.
“What makes you so sure? I’ve lost control once and it’s easy for it to happen again” Hyukjae said in a low voice.
“It won’t happen again, I know it.”
“You are so stupid for coming here.”
“I heard you will run away from me, so I need to make sure you will be here, be responsible of what you did to me…” Kyuhyun tries to be his usual self in front of her, adding the smirk effect on it.
“I am responsible for what I did Kyuhyun, I’ll go away from you, not bothering you again and you can live happily and safe.”
“That’s not being responsible, that’s running away Hyukjae. If you want to be responsible, then stay.”
Kyuhyun said firmly and he brings Hyukjae closer to him. Being so powerless Hyukjae can do nothing.
“Who force you to say this to me? Is it Junsu or Minho?” Hyukjae tries to push Kyuhyun away but not much energy she has.
“No one force me to do this. I already made my desicon Hyukjae, I won’t let you go now”
Kyuhyun said looking directly to her eyes while Hyukjae is trying looking for a doubt in Kyuhyun’s eyes but failed. She then looks away.
“What ere you talking about Kyuhyun? I am a monster, no body wants me to be near them. Don’t joke with me….”
Kyuhyun then holds Hyukjae’s shoulder, taking her chin to look for her eyes. This is it, Kyuhyun thinks. His heart is beating faster and faster each time.
“You are not a monster, you are just different from me. There are so many different people out there, you are not the first one”
“But I am not a human, not a person! I drinks your kind’s blood for survive”
“There are cannibals out there Hyukkie, they are worst than anything in the world. Even if you are not human, you appreciate us, you cared for us. If you are not, you might have killed every humans you met. You are not bad nor monster, if you are you might had sucked me dry that night, but you didn’t.”
“You don’t understand Kyuhyun….” Hyukjae looks away from him.
“Someone told me that life is simple. What’s wrong with you being vampires? Can’t we be friends? It must be hard too for you right? You have the right to live normally too just like us humans. I may be not understand it fully but I will try hard to understand everything.”
“….”
Hearing Hyukjae just being silent, Kyuhyun takes the opportunity to embraces her. Her body is cold, as cold as ice, but he is sure he can make it warmer.
“ Stop thinking bad of your self, Hyukkie. You are just perfect, didn’t you know that evey girls at school really envy you for being perfect or the times when the teacher always compare me and the other students with you, we are not smart enough for them but you, you are the smartest student there. Or the times when the boys told me that how lucky the guy who can win your heart, you are just perfect like that.”
“That’s because I’m a vampire. We are all like that, Kyuhyun”
“No, it’s not because of that. It’s because you are you. You are that charming girl with a cute smile, you are the nerd the teachers love, you are the kind and warm hearted girl who every boys love and girls envy. You are just your self.”
Hyukjae doesn’t know what to say to Kyuhyun. She feels something warm inside her and it’s all because of Kyuhyun. She doesn’t even protest being hug by Kyuhyun, it actually makes her all fluffly inside. Kyuhyun can feel his heart might burst anytime. Hyukjae is in his embrace and she is being calm. His heart beats faster that usual and he realize that his heart is beating for her. It makes him smile.
“Thank you Kyuhyun…”
“Don’t say that at least you will stay and cancel all of your plan”
Kyuhyun can feel Hyukjae chuckles lightly in his embrace and it makes him grinning from ear to ear.
“….”
“….”
“….”
“It’s late, you should go home” Hyukjae who realize how awkward they are now said.
“Will you come to school tomorrow?”
“I don’t think so”
“Why? You are not running away from me right?”
“I am still powerless, I need to recharge my energy first. I might be at school on Monday”
Kyuhyun let go of his embrace to look at Hyukjae, suddenly he rember something.
“Hyukkie…” Hyukjae just looks at him
“Will come with me to the school’s 50 years party this weekend?” Hyukjae is taken a back by that question. Nobody dare to ask her out like that.
“We never come to any school’s party before…”
“Then you should come this time. I will show my world”
Kyuhyun said smiling happily and Hyukjae finds her self unconsciously nods to it.
“I guess it would be okay.”
“Great! I’ll pick you up at seven?”
“Sounds good to me” Hyukjae smiles her beautiful smile for the first time in five days and Kyuhyun is delighted.
“Good. So, hmmm…. I’ll be going now. My Umma might be looking for me” Kyuhyun scratches his neck, indicating his nervousness.
“Yeah, hmm… so take care” Hyukjae smiles and then walks inside her house. She is embarrassed. Kyuhyun grins and goes to his bike and heading home.

Hyukjae gets into her house and the attention is on her immediately. Hyukaje just hangs her head low. The ohers are having this smile on their face. Hyukjae can’t look at them so she decides just to go to her room but Junsu stops her.
“Where do you think you are going Hyukkie?” Junsu smiles cheekily and Hyukjae fears that smile.
“So how’s everything?” Leeteuk asked from the couch she sits with Kangin besides her, reading some police reports.
“It’s okay umma. I am sorry for making you worried these few days.” Hyukjae bit her lips and looks away from her mother. She can feel it, they are all smiling happily, happy for her. But Donghae is not there, it makes her frown.
“I guess we have one more family now?” Taemin asked while clapping her hands excitedly.
“Where is Donghae?” Hyukjae suddenly asked. The smiles are now replaced by a light frown from the others. Hyukjae without any more words dash to Donghae’s room to find him near the window, looking outside, just like the other time.
Hyukjae walks to him slowly, feeling the urge to hug him instantly and asking for his forgiveness.
“I heard that we get one more family. That’s good” Donghae turns to look at Hyukjae, smiling but the smile doesn’t reach his eyes.
“Donghae I am sorry…” Hyukjae said and inches closer to him and hugs his neck.
“Why are you feeling sorry?” Donghae said trying to be cheerful like he usually does.
“I hurt you again and I just can’t stop doing it…” Hyukjae said lowly, hiding her face in the crook of Donghae’s cold neck.
“What are you talking about? I am happy as long as you are happy Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae hugs him tighter and Donghae hugs her back by her small waist, remembering her sweet
scent.
“I want you to be happy too, but not like this”
“You are my source of happiness Hyukkie, as long as I can see that beautiful smile on your lips I’ll be happy too”
Donghae looks at Hyukjae’s eyes and smiles. He then kisses her cheek. Hyukjae then just hugs him again. Donghae then lifts Hyukjae’s body from the floor to his lap. Hyukjae just stay still, tries to find a more comfortable space on his shoulder. Donghae then sings her a lullaby till morning because sleep never calls for them.
*****Kyuhyun’s house when he gets back from Hyukjae’s house.
Kyuhyun places his bike securely in the carage near Jonghyun’s car. He wants to call Jonghyun for opening the door but the door is opened immediately by none other of his mother, Kim Heechul. Heechul is smirking and so does Kyuhyun. He goes inside the house and takes a galss af water. Heechul takes a sit on her previous seat at the other night when she talked to Kyuhyun, eyeing her unexpectedly excited son.
“So, say Kyuhyun. What got into you?” Kyuhyun looks at his mother and pulls a chair in front of her.
“What are you saying Umma?”
“This morning you went to school like a zombie and now you are glowing. What is up? Something good happen I guess?”
Kyuhyun just hum to his mother as an answer. Heechul smirks getting wider.
“Tell me something I don’t know, son…”
“I guess you can guess it right just like any other things.” Kyuhyun teased his mother and Heechul just clicks her tounges
“You settled everything with Hyukjae?”
“It’s more than that Umma…” Kyuhyun said proudly.
“Surprise me”
“I had dinner in her house” Kyuhyun beam, making Heechul raised her eye brow.
“Dinner with with more than half of dozen vampires?”
“Yes and her mother and Hyukjae really made a delicious food.”
“So you are becoming vampires’ son in law now?” Heechul sounds amused.
“Ah, it’s not that far yet…” Kyuhyun scratches his neck and smiled sheepishly. Heechul just rolls her eyes.
“Let me rephrase it then. You make up with Hyukjae and settle your relationship with her and her family approve?”
Kyuhyun wants to say yes but, did he really make clear of his status with Hyukjae back then? Did he say something about it? Kyuhyun looks at his mother and shows her his confused look.
“It’s not, I didn’t say anything about relationship with her yet. We just talked about the accident on the other night” Kyuhyun laughes a little, the first time feeling so stupid in front of his mother. Heechul looks amused on her favourite son.
“ You pabo! Next time don’t let this kind of opportunity lose again. You had dinner in her house but said nothing about wanting to be her boyfriend? Why are you so lame? Jonghyun can do better than you in that field. You disappoint me Kyuhyun!”
“Yeah, Jonghyun is better than me in having girls. I will make her mine next time and when she came here, she is already my girlfriend, you hear that umma” Kyuhyun said childishly while pouting, the expression he only show to his mother. Heechul just laughes and heads to her room.
“Umma….” Kyuhyun suddenly said and Heechul turns her head to him.
“I know you are okay with Hyukjae being vampire, will Appa accept it like you too?” Heechul’s face becomes stairgt for a moment and Kyuhyun is nervous waiting for her answer. He hopes her mom will say something like ‘Don’t worry, he always obey me’ or ‘Your Appa even believe in dragons, so it’s fine’.
“For the mean time, keep it secret from your Appa first. He is still busy and about his business, don’t tell him something shocking like this. When the time comes we’ll tell him” heechul smiles and heads to her bedroom leaving Kyuhyun frowning.
*****Mokpo’s High
Kyuhyun goes to his classroom as soon as he can to find Yunho and Changmin to brag. When he saw them playing some PSP games, he smirks and walks to them, he then hits the table to get their attention. Changmin and Yunho look up immediately with a frustration eyes.
“What the heck Kyuhyun!” Changmin said while Kyuhyun puts his bag on his chair in front of Changmin.
“I’ll come to the school’s party tomorrow.” Kyuhyun chuckles and Yunho snickers.
“Found your date already? Who’s that poor girl you force to come?”
“Lee Hyukjae”
Changmin and Yunho drop their PSP and have their mouth agape open. How Kyuhyun enjoy that expression. He laughes evilly and poke their heads. Someone with a high pitch laugh then join him laughing making him stop and look sideway to find Junsu and Yoochun near him. Junsu is still laughing. Changmin and Yunho gasp more. Kyuhyun just looks Junsu weirdly.
“Why are you laughing Su?” Yoonchun asked his lover.
“Kyuhyun was laughing, so I just join him for no reason.” Junsu smiles innocently to them then sits on her seat.
“Anyway Kyuhyun, thanks to you Junsu is complaining to me about not asking her to the school’s party too. So I might tell you to be careful because we will be watching you tomorrow” Yoochun threats him but Kyuhyun is not afraid of him anymore. He has faced something scarier than Yoochun and that is Donghae. Yoochun comes to Junsu and takes a seat to while the other people are whispering each other about Kyuhyun.
“Shit Kyuhyun! What happen to you with that family?” Changmin asked slowly
“We are just making friend I guess” Kyuhyun said while looking uninterested to them.
“So you are really coming with Lee Hyukjae?” Yunho asked, still not believing it.
“Told you so, man!” Kyuhyun looks at Yunho and changmin proudly and then pulls out his PSP and plays it happily.
*****The next day, 6 PM, Kyuhyun’s house.
“Okay this is my last deal with you, I’ll take your car and I’ll treat you lunch tomorrow”
Kyuhyun said while placing his tie bow neatly on his neck. Jonghyun is arranging his hair neat and then smiles to his own direction.
“I don’t want to…”
“If you say no I’ll tell umma you step on her favourite dress few dress agao” Kyuhyun smirks and Jonghyun just gives him a dirty look
“I did it accidentally and you are so not telling Umma abou it. You know how mad she will become if she know I step on her dress with my shoes!”
“Like I care she will kill you Jjong.” Kyuhyun said plainly and sprays parfume on his Tuxedo.
“You are not fair Hyung!” Jonghyun said while handing Kyuhyun his car key. Kyuhyun just smirks.
“There is nothing fair in love and life my dear brother. You need to be smarter than me” Kyuhyun said laughing while Jonghyun just pouts at him.
Kyuhyun is dressed up, handsome and arrogant. He is standing near the door with Jonghyun waiting for their mother to finish inspecting their clothes.
“Oh Jjong, you are handsome but grow up more, will you!”
“I’m not that short Umma!” Jonghyun said, feeling annoyed by his mother’s comment. Kyuhyun chuckles and pats his head.
“Yes, you need to grow like me” Thay are galring at each other again like usual.
“Okay, my boys are looking good but not as good as your Appa. You two may go now. have fun okay”
Jonghyun opens the door happily saying he’ll be going to his mother and father and Kyuhyun just about to do the same when Heechul pulls him. Kyuhyun looks at his mom.
“Don’t forget about your promise last night Kyuhyun!” Kyuhyun just smirks to his mother.
“I won’t Umma” Kyuhyun said with determination.
*****Kim mansion
Hyukjae is sitting nervously on her bed, waiting for Kyuhyun to pick her up. It’s almost seven by that time. Donghae opens her door room and smiles. He comes in and sits near her, taking a good look of his love of life. Hyukjae just gives him a warm smile.
“You look gorgeous, gorgeous.” Donghae said matter of factly. Hyukjae takes his hand in her.
“Thank you. Are you sure you are not coming?”
“I need to go to Seoul to get our food supplies remember”
“You can do that tomorrow…” Hyukjae pouts.
“Then what? Making the whole house feeling hungry and you are lack of strawberry milk? I won’t let that happen. Besides Minho is and Yoochun will be there, so don’t worry” Donghae caresses her cheek lovingly and smiles. Hyukjae is still pouting. Donghae chuckles and then lean to her to gives her a peck, like he usually does. It instantly erases the pout away from her face.
“Come on, I hears Kyuhyun’s coming” Donghae stands up and takes Hyukjae’s hand with him to go downstairs.
Meanwhile, Kyuhyun is taking a deep brath before coming out from the car and walk to Hyukjae’s house front door. He wants to knock but Junsu already opens it for him.
“Kyuhyun! You are here. Come on in first, Hyukjae will be down stair in a few seconds” Junsu totally drags him inside.
Kyuhyun looks around the house and he is greeted by the whole family except Hyukjae and Donghae. He bows to Hyukjae’s mother and father and gives the other siblings a dashing smile. Junsu and Taemin are looking pretty with their gown, so elegant and shining. Minho and Yoochun too are ready for the party looking like those high class rich noble.
Kyuhyun is still observing them while Hyukjae and Donghae come downstair. Kyuhyun moves his attention to her immediately. She is wearing a red gown that reaches her knee. The red dress is matching with her red hair which is tied forming a cute bun tonight. her pale skin is shing under the light and he is feeling so proud of it. That beautiful creature is going to be his date for tonight. But suddenly he frown seeing it’s Donghae who escort her from her room but Donghae is wearing nothing special like the others. Could it be Donghae is not coming? It instantly lighten up his mood again.
Donghae stands in front of Kyuhyun. He doesn’t want to hand him Hyukjae but this is what Hyukjae want. He takes Hyukjae’s hand which is on his arm and gives it to Kyuhyun which Kyuhyun gladly accept. Hyukjae’s hand is still cold but it does not matter for Kyuhyun anymore, as long as Hyukjae is with him, it will warm him.
“Take care of her tonight or else I’ll rip your heart!” Donghae said seriously.
“Just kill me if I didn’t sent her home safely”
“Don’t do anything stupid later!” Donghae said again.
“Hae…” Hyukjae pouts again. Donghae looks at her and smiles, caressing her cheek and then she smiles.
“Have fun, Hyukkie….” Leeteuk said when Hyukjae is secure in Jonghyun’s car with Kyuhyun, ready to leave and Hyukaje just smiles.
Awkwardness. That’s what Kyuhyun feels when driving to their school. Hyukjae is quite like always and he also doesn’t know how to start conversation. He steals glance at Hyukjae who is looking straight to the road before them
“Eyes on the road, Kyuhyun…” Hyukjae calmly said. Kyuhyun just smiles.
“You look awesome tonight Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun said
“Thank you” Hyukjae said, lowering her head.
****Kyuhyun and Hyukjae arrives late on the party because of rain which suddenly pours hard. Kyuhyun offers his hand to Hyukjae before opening the door to the auditorium where the party held. Hyukjae bites her lips cutely and accept his hand. Kyuhyun grins like idiot before opening the door in front of him.
It seems like the time has stopped when they walk into the auditorium. Every pair of eyes is looking at them. Most of them are gasping, shocked and others just open their mouth, not believing their eyes. Lee Hyukjae is coming to the school’s 50 years celebratory with the new guy, Cho Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun can see from the corner of his eyes Changmin is throwing up his food and Yunho frozes on his feet while Jonghyun curse him and pouting. Kyuhyun smirks, oh how he loves this moment. Kyuhyun then finds Junsu, Tamin, Minho and Yoochun in the corner, smiling at him but Yoochun and Minho’s smile are more look like a smirk, a threaten look.
When they arrived at the center of the room suddenly the music plays, startling everyone. Junsu and Yoochun then start dancing, followed by Taemin and Minho. Their dance moves are like the old western style dance, so glamour and full of nobility. Kyuhyun looks at the jewel in front of him and offers his hand while bowing a little.
“Can I have this dance?”
Hyukjae elegantly just takes Kyuhyun’s hand and Kyuhyun places it on his shoulder while his hand is secure on her waist. They follow the rythim and enjoy it so much. They are locking gaze for who knows how long. Hyukjae’s eyes are changing again from brown to orange to purple. Kyuhyun doesn’t know what it means but he care less.
“I really like your eyes changing colours like this” Hyukjae’s a bit taken a back by that statement.
“What colours are they now?”
“It’s purple. What does it mean?”
Hyukjae looks away from Kyuhyun, tries to gets her usual eyes colour again. There is no way she will tell Kyuhyun the meaning of purple eyes. the colour which symbolizes the two massive feelings, love and lust.
“Have I told you look amazing tonight?”
“Yes you have Kyuhyun” Hyukjae said looking at him and smiles.
“You have no idea how much I want time to stop now Hyukkie…” Kyuhyun out of blue said.
“Why?”
“Because I want to keep looking at you like this, holding you in my arms”
Hyukjae looks away again and Kyuhyun just chuckles.
“You are so cheesy Kyuhyun” Hyukjae said slowly.
“I learn from my Appa” Kyuhyun said proudly.
The night is amazing for everybody but for Kyuhyun and Hyukjae it’s more than amazing. They are dancing, talking, sitting side by side, holding hands and laughing together. It looks like that night is their night, Kyuhyun even forget about his best friends who keep calling him, but he ignores them. At the end of the night Kyuhyun doesn’t see Hyukjae’s siblings anymore, and Hyukjae tells him that they are heading home because they are hungry all of sudden and need to go home fast.
It’s still raining hard when they go home. Kyuhyun is dtrying to concentrate on the road before him while Hyukjae chuckles.
“You want me to drive?” Hyukjae teased.
“I can do it Hyukkie, it’s okay. Just relax” Kyuhyun glances to her for a while before looking back to the road.
“Just drive to your house, I’m okay to come home alone”
“I can’t do that!” Kyuhyun object firmly.
“Why?”
“I told Donghae I’ll be sent you home safe, so I have to fulfil my promise to him”
Kyuhyun points out but suddenly the car engine is off. Kyuhyun and Hyukjae are looking at each other then Kyuhyun tries to turn on the engine again but it’s failed. He then hits the steering wheel.
“It must be Jonghyun didn’t tell me that his car is out of fuel earlier. That dinosaur looking guy!”
Hyukjae just chuckles hearing Kyuhyun curses his own brother.
“It’s okay Kyu, I can call Donghae to pick us here” Hyukjae starts to look for her cellphone but
Kyuhyun grips her hand. Hyukjae looks at him and Kyuhyun is looking at her with a serious expression.
“What happen Kyu?” Hyukjae tries to read his mind but she is failed miserably again so asking Kyuhyun is the only way to find out what he is thinking.
“What am I to you Hyukkie?” Kyuhyun suddenly asked. He looks deeply at Hyukjae’s now green eyes. Hyukjae is laughing a little want sto have her hand back but the looking in Kyuhyun’s eyes stop him.
“What are you talking about Kyuhyun?”
Kyuhyun takes Hyukjae’s hand to his chest, near his heart. Hyukjae’s cold hand is making him shiver a bit.
“Can you feel it? Can you listen to it? It’s beating so hard Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae just looks at him with a confused look. She presses her hand to Kyuhyun’s chest. Of course she can feel it, Kyuhyun’s heart is beating fast and hard. She can feel his blood circulation clearly and it’s making her feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“It’s beating like crazy like this is because of you, Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae is quiet, she doesn’t know how to respond it. She is out of words.
“Hyukkie…” Hyukjae just hums to him.
“What if I love you?”
Kyuhyun said seriously, examining Hyukjae’s face carefully and her eyes are red. Her palm is still on his chest and he has no idea why Hyukjae looks so uncomfortable like that. Hyukjae can’t help it. She knows that Kyuhyun is telling her that he loves her but with her hand firmly presses on Kyuhyun’s chest like that, she feels the hunger crawls slowly to her. She is afraid she might hurt Kyuhyun again so she chooses to push Kyuhyun and walks out the car.
Kyuhyun is startled by Hyukjae’s reaction, he didn’t expect this. Hyukjae is out there in the rain,
Kyuhyun waste no time to go for her. Hyukjae is not that far from the car. He runs before she lets out her power and grips her arms, yanking her to his embrace. Kyuhyun looks right into her eyes, even it’s dark and raining hard, he can see those red eyes are looking back to him.
“I told you not to run away from me…”
“I might hurt you Kyuhyun” Hyukaje said again for the nth times but Kyuhyun just hugs her.
“No you won’t. I trust you, Hyukkie. You won’t hurt me. Now will you please stay for a while and listen to me?” when he gets no respone, he knows Hyukjae will listen to him. Kyuhyun let go of his embrace and holds onto her shoulder.
“I was not joking about wht I told you Hyukkie. I really do love you. You are making me go crazy and you never leave my mind. Everytime I always think of you, thinking about your smile, your eyes, your soft and cold hand, thinking about holding into your hands tight and never letting go, everything in you.”
“Why?” Hyukjae unintelectually asked, forgetting her hunger for Kyuhyun’s blood.
“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice but falling in love with you is something I can’t control so I alsao have no idea why. For you I would walk trhough hell, letting burn my shoes and feet. I love you Lee Hyukjae”
Hyukjae is still stunned with Kyuhyun’s words and she has no idea when does Kyuhyun’s soft and warm lips are presses against her cold ones. She doesn’t know how to respond at first but then she just closes her eyes, kissing him back. The kiss is slow and watery because of the rain but they don’t care. Kyuhyun nibbles on Hyukjae’s lower lips and Hyukjae willingly opens her mouth, letting Kyuhyun invade her sweet cavern. They kiss until Kyuhyun runs out of breath. Thay press their fore head together and Kyuhyu looks at those beautiful orbs again.
“I love you….”
“I guess we can try.” Hyukjae said smiling.
*****Kyuhyun’s house
Knock knock..
“Good evening Auntie..”
“Oh my god Key! What are you doing here?”

CHAPTER TEN PART B: KYUHYUN TO HYUKJAE
“Even if I hate doing this and it’s against my will, I need to talk to you about Hyukjae, about my family”
“I am listening then…” Kyuhyun said confidently.
“I guess you already figure out about what we are now….” Donghae said while walking to one of the dusty bench, blow it a little to clean it from the dust. Kyuhyun just eyeing him
“Yeah, I am not dumb you know”
“Took a genius like you so long to figure it out, right?” Donghae cross his arms on his chest.
“Just straight to the point. I don’t have much time” Kyuhyun looks at his wrist watch to emphasize the
little time he has.
“For a mere human, you sure have so much guts. You are still so rude even you know that there are five vampires here ready to kill you any time”
Donghae teased Kyuhyun but Kyuhyun just make a low chuckle for it to make sure Donghae won’t sense his fear. He read it on internet that vampire can sense fear but he fails to read that vampires can read minds. Donghae smirks hearing Kyuhyun’s thought.
“Try hard to hide your fear, KYUHYUN?”
Kyuhyun is a bit startled but compose his self once again to remain cool and calm. He bravely walks to Donghae and makes himself comfortable on the bench with Donghae. Donghae just laugh silently.
“Donghae, just like him we don’t have much time talking. You promise Hyukkie you will be home before seven and it’s already 6.30 now.”
Junsu walks to the see saw with Taemin, do not care so much about their talk with Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun is slightly mad, Hyukjae is waiting for Donghae to come home? He is a bit jealous actually. Donghae can be with Hyukjae anytime while he can’t. Donghae is the only person that can protect Hyukjae while he can’t. Because of his anger and jealousy Kyuhyun without thinking hit the light pole near the bench, making the five vampires looking at him.
“Well, as you said we don’t have much time so I’ll tell you my thought here.”
“Good then..” Kyuhyun mumbled still having his poker face.
“Hyukjae asked us to move out of town” Donghae said simple and understandable. Kyuhyun looks at Donghae, confused all over his face.
“Move? When? Why?”
“My dad still objects to her wish so we also do not know about that.”
Silence is coating them. The only things heard is Taemin and Junsu’s laugh on the see saw.
“Is it because of me?” Kyuhyun unconsciously asked, so out of his character but damn to it.
“You are still asking that? From the start I already told you to stay away but you still pestered her like a leench and now the bad thing we do not want to happen is already happen and you are still asking me wheter it is because of you? What do you think smartass? Whose fault is it?”
Kyuhyun makes a fist and ready to retort back but he realize Donghae is right, it’s all because of him. The tension is raised and everyone is quite including Taemin and Junsu who listen carefully. Minho walks to Donghae and squeezes his shoulder to warn him to be calm.
“Hyung, this is not the reason we talk to him, if you can’t handle this let me speak to him and you just go home before Hyukkie noona starts to search us.”
Donghae just gives him a look and glare. They exchange thought and Kyuhyun is being oblivious about that. Dongahe sighs and stands.
“Fine, you talk I’ll be quite. Quick, Hyukkie is waiting”
Minho takes Donghae’s spot on the bench and gives Kyuhyun his charismatic look. Kyuhyun just raises his eye brow.
“So, we do not want to move out of this town yet and we also know Hyukkie noona doesn’t want either but she is just being confused, confused of you. We thought that maybe if you could talk to her about what had happen that night she can be fine again and choose to stay”
Minho talks slowly making sure Kyuhyun knows what he meant and can decide wisely. If he doesn’t decide right, Minho himself will take care of him.
“You ask me to talk to her? You all let me meet her?” Kyuhyun said unbelievabingly. Minho just nods.
Kyuhyun looks at Donghae and he finds the latter guy is just look at him hard. Kyuhyun chuckles slowly, making Donghae gets mad.
“What’s so funny now, you human! I can kill you with my bare hands but you are laughing at me!”
“It’s so ironic, as far as I remember, you never like me get close to Hyukjae now you ask me to talk to her”
Donghae is more than mad to Kyuhyun. He walks to Kyuhyun in the blink of eye and before anybody could stop him he already grab Kyuhyun’s collar. His eyes are turning red and his fangs slowly come out. Kyuhyun swears he is trembling in fear right at that time.
“Ironic it is, having you under my graps right now and I can crush your neck easily like a piece of cake!”
“Hyung, calm down…”
Minho holds Donghae’s hand which is currently gripping Kyuhyun’s collar. Donghae galres at Minho but lowered his hand nonetheless. Minho is sure smart to use his ability in this kind of situation. Kyuhyun’s heart is still racing and he is holding it to keep it calm. Kyuhyun is still trembling and his legs are giving up on him. Taemin comes to him immediately and holds his hand. Kyuhyun is shocked, he tries to take his hands back but Taemin just smile and holds his hands in her palm. He doesn’t know why but his body is being calm by seeing Taemin’s smile. Donghae looks at the scene in front of him just snickers.
“Where’s that I’m-not-scared-look go by now? Where is that arrogant bastard guy go? Tsk… Don’t try to joke around with me Kyuhyun! I am not someone who you can play with.”
Donghae walks to his car, intend to leave the park because if he is still there he might kill Kyuhyun in a blink of eye. Damn he hates that guy! Before walking too far, Donghae looks back, still with that red eyes that scared Kyuhyun. Donghae smirks.
“If you don’t want to meet her, it’s more than okay with me. It’s not that I need you to talk to her, I can handle it by my self and if she wants to leave, I’ll come with her. You don’t need to come and see her anymore.”
Kyuhyun watches Donghae goes to his car and speed off immediately, leaving his other siblings with him. Junsu is the first one to react.
“Now Kyuhyun, time to be serious.”
Kyuhyun looks at Junsu who is standing next to Yoochun whose arms are around Junsu’s waist.
“Hyukkie plans to go by her self if we do not agree to move out. What scared us the most is she unintensionally shows us her exact plan.”
“What plan?” Kyuhyun listens carefully and not saying a word until the right time now. He doesn’t have enough power to fight vampires.
“Hyukkie unnie wants to kill herself.”
“What? Why?”
“She has no more intention to live, these 70 years she spent in sorrow because she hates her self for being a monster. She survived until now just because of us, her new family and because of Donghae who always said to her that he is going to kill himself too if Hyukkie leave.”
Kyuhyun’s face fell hearing Donghae’s name.
“There is Donghae, you don’t need me. Dongahe can handle her, right?”
Junsu and Taemin exchanges glance and smiles secretly. Junsu looks at Kyuhyun who is currently plays with his motor bike’s key.
“Yes. Donghae can handle her everytime, we all are aware of that. But Kyuhyun, we are all aware to that Hyukjae’s heart starts to beat again and it’s not because of Donghae, but you. She starts to smile again because of you and she starts to forget her past because of you. Even now, she wants to be rebellious by leaving the town and killed her self without Appa’s permission because of you. Don’t you realize that you already make something new in her unbeating heart?”
Kyuhyun who is hearing it looks at Junsu expectantly. Does he really do those things to Hyukjae? He really wants to know about Hyukjae’s feeling.
“We are not forcing you to see Hyukjae, but we don’t want to lose her like this. So, please be wise, even if you hate her now at least tell her not to leave and blame her self again like this.”
Yoochun step forward to speak and Kyuhyun just nod. Kyuhyun needs to make sure everything, Hyukjae’s feeling and his feeling. He needs to be sure whether he can be like his mother’s grandma or not.
“When can I meet her?”
Taemin smiles happily haering that and claps her hand.
“Would you come for dinner tonight, Oppa?” Kyuhyun is taken aback by that question, he never imagine it that he will have dinner at Hyukjae’s house, a house full of vampires. Is he ready for that?
“Dinner?” Kyuhyun knits his eyebrow. Junsu just chuckles.
“Umma loves to cook human food even we ca’t eat those but Hyukkie always being nice and tries to eat the food, to be like human. So don’t be too scared, we have enough food for you and we also won’t touch you”
“Touch me? You mean eat me?” Minho and the others just laugh.
“We can’t do that. Hyukkie noona already claim you by drinking your blood so you are only hers, we can’t touch you”
“Claim me?” Kyuhyun asked confusedly, he surely never read it on internet about this claiming thing.
“Long story, we need to be hurry. It’s getting dark” Yoochun said and the siblings are moving too with him.
“Hey, I don’t know your address…” Kyuhyun said still sitting on the bench.
“Just follow our lead, we will be slower this time” Minho said and Kyuhyun just nod. He stands up and walks to his bike while fishing out his phone to text his mother, telling her he will be late. Kyuhyun then starts his bike’s engine and follows Minho’s Hummer.
*****Kim mansion
Donghae arrives at his home in a few minutes and find Hyukjae sits on the swing he himself made for her years ago. Donghae feels contended and relieve seeing Hyukjae is still there waiting for him. He comes closer to her slowly with no sound, planning to surprise her but when he is just a meter away, Hyukjae turns to see him. He has this playful smile on him while scratching his head, feeling stupid being caught like that. Hyukjae just look at him with that expressionless face again. Donghae sighs and drops his smile and walks faster to her side. He sits on the swing near Hyukjae’s swing, the one Yoochun made for Junsu.
“It’s the fourth day you are not smiling Hyukkie. It’s making me sad”
“You can’t feel Hae, we can’t. We don’t have any heart to feel like that.” Hyukjae said emotionless while swinging.
“Feelings aren’t come from heart Hyukkie, it’s made in our brain. I think you are smart enough to know that, it’s in the Biology lesson” Donghae tried to joke but Hyukjae remains quite.
“Why are you being so quite? Are you mad at me?” Donghae gets down from his swing and stops Hyukjae’s swing and kneels in front of her while holding the swing still.
“I don’t want to talk about this Hae…” Hyukjae diverts her attention from Donghae’s eyes. Donghae with one hand holds Hyukjae’s chin to look at him.
“Stop blaming your self Hyukkie. He is okay now, why are you thinking so much about him?”
“Donghae please, I don’t want to talk about this again. I just want to leave….”
“You are not going anywhere without me Hyuk. What is so special about him? You even claim him yours.”
Hyukjae pushes Donghae’s hands away from her and walks to the house. She is so not in mood to talk about this with Donghae besides she knows, Donghae will be hurt again, she doesn’t want it. Donghae looks at her back, eyes looks lonely and sad.
“Is it true your heart starts to beat again because of him?” Hyukjae stops in her tracks but then walks again with no answer. Donghae touches his chest where his cold heart located.
“Mine is always beating for you, Hyukkie…” Donghae whispers slowly, sure Hyukjae is not hearing him because he can’t read or hear anything in her mind.
Hyukjae gets into the house only to find her mother prepares the huge dining table with human food. Hyukjae is confused so she comes to her. Leeteuk is humming happily and all smiling while seeing Hyukjae comes.
“Oh, Hyukkie help me with the food will you? This dining table is so big I wonder why I bought it in the first place” Leeteuk points the kitchen but Hyukjae stay still.
“What are these Umma?”
“We are having a guest tonight.”
“Who? We never have guest before and human? Are they Appa’s human friends?”
“You’ll find out sweetheart. Now if you don’t want to help me, go upstairs and change your clothes. You haven’t changed your clothes since this morning. Didn’t you take a bath?”
Hyukjae just rolls her eyes to her Umma. She also smiles a little and goes to the kitchen to help her umma. Leeteuk sometimes feels it useful that Hyukjae doesn’t use her power, she doesn’t even care with her powers sometimes. But it makes her frowning too, it’s the fourth day her daughter closes her self from anybody, blocks her minds, stop reading minds, stop listening and even stops drinking her strawberry milk supplies which mean she hasn’t drink a single blood after the night at Kyuhyun’s house. She is more than happy when she heard Minho and the others are coming home with Kyuhyun. She hopes by talking to Kyuhyun, her Hyukkie will be okay.
*****“Hyukkie, will you come down?”
“Why Umma?” Hyukjae is currently laying on her bed, thinking blankly while Leeteuk comes in with her angelic smile.
“The guest has come, be polite to him and accompany him eating, Okay?”
“Why do I have to?”
“Just come with me…” Leeteuk then drags Hyukjae dowm stairs to the dining room, where the entire family is seated calmly with the guest.
Hyukjae can’t believe her eyes when she saw Kyuhyun sits on one of the chairs in the dining room. She is too incoherent that she doesn’t realize it her mother already drags her in front of Kyuhyun to have a sit. She sits there but her eyes never leaving Kyuhyun and so does Kyuhyun. In front of her there are many kind of dishes, Korean foods, Jappanesse food and even French foods. She let her eyeswander to the foods she helps her mother makes earlier. But there is only one plate that is in front of Kyuhyun. The others are just having a glass of blood in a wine glass.
Hyukjae then looks at her family members who immediately glance away from her. Junsu is having a toss with Yoochun, Taemin is getting her glass a refill, her mother is busy talking with her father, while Donghae and Minho are eyeing her from the corner their eyes. She then looks at the person in front of him, Cho Kyuhyun. She is suddenly feeling angry.
“What are the meaning of these!?” The others are quite then Kangin speaks.
“We are having guest here, Hyukkie. Be polite to him and let him enjoy the meal you and your mother made. Come on Kyuhyun, eat. We will be eating too”
Taemin who is sitting right next to Kyuhyun, takes a slice of baked chicken and puts it in Kyuhyun’s plate.
“There, try it Oppa. Hyukkie unnie made it this afternoon” Taemin smiles and Kyuhyun smiles back. He is nervous, how does he suppose to eat it with vampires all over him, watching him eating. But seeing that the others are waiting for him to eat and considering it’s Hyukjae’s hand made he brace him self to taste it. He takes a bite and from the corner of his eyes he can see the happy expression from the others, except Hyukjae.
“It’s delicious, just like the one from restaurant.”
He smiles and the air seems much lighter now. Taemin puts some foods again in his plate and he just laughs.
“That’s enough Taemin, I might burst later if you put everything on my plate”
Taemin just smiles sheepishly to him, looking so cute and innocent.
“I am just feeling so happy because we are finally have a guest and having a dinner like this”
She chuckles while holding her glass up. Kyuhyun watches her drinking some blood and then turns her head to Minho. He observes everyone, they are drinking some blood but Hyukjae just sits on her chair, looking at him without touching her glass. He frowns a bit. He heard from Junsu earlier that Hyukjae has stopped drinking blood for four days and he also learns that the blood usually in her strawberry milk, that’s why Hyukjae can drink it. He hears a lot about Hyukjae while waiting for her to come down earlier and it gives him a proud feeling inside. He is the first guy who can go this far with this family and Hyukjae.
“Aren’t you thirsty, Hyukkie?” Leeteuk asked her but Hyukjae keeps silent. Donghae pushes his chair and goes to the refrigerator, taking away a cartoon of strawberry milk. He opens it and pours it to the wine glass. He also drops some blood in it. He walks to Hyukjae’s chair and puts it in front of her.
“Drink it please Hyukkie, you might get sick.”
Hyukjae looks at Donghae who is pleading. Hyukjae sighs and takes her glass up. Kyuhyun takes a note of it. Donghae really can handle Hyukjae. Kyuhyun doesn’t like it. Hyukjae gulps down her glass clean while looking at Kyuhyun who is eating his foods but his eyes are on Hyukjae. Kyuhyun looks at her intently, finding her changing eyes from black to red then back to her usual brown eyes. Kyuhyun almost chokes on his food seeing it.
After a few minutes eating, chatting and drinking, the room is silent again. Hyukjae then stands up first.
“I’m going out for a walk”
“Hyukjae wait!” Kyuhyun suddenly said, Hyukjae looks at him but looks away immediately. She is already on the front door that Kyuhyun excuse him self. Donghae just look at them cautiously, wanting to come too but Taemin holds him and shakes her head. Donghae then just heads to his room, slamming the door. He can see from his window Kyuhyun is catching Hyukjae. He then focuses his attention to them so he can hear their conversation

Kyuhyun is running after Hyukjae and just in time he grips her wrist, making Hyukjae stops. He is a bit surprised thought. Hyukjae used to push him away easily and let go of his grip but today Hyukjae doesn’t even resist. Hyukjae turns to him, pale and looks very sick and that hits Kyuhyun. Hyukjae is thirsty so she has not enough power to send Kyuhyun away.
“Let me go. I don’t want something bad happen”
“You won’t hurt me…” Kyuhyun said to Hyukjae but it’s like he is convincing him self too.
“What makes you so sure? I’ve lost control once and it’s easy for it to happen again” Hyukjae said in a low voice.
“It won’t happen again, I know it.”
“You are so stupid for coming here.”
“I heard you will run away from me, so I need to make sure you will be here, be responsible of what you did to me…” Kyuhyun tries to be his usual self in front of her, adding the smirk effect on it.
“I am responsible for what I did Kyuhyun, I’ll go away from you, not bothering you again and you can live happily and safe.”
“That’s not being responsible, that’s running away Hyukjae. If you want to be responsible, then stay.”
Kyuhyun said firmly and he brings Hyukjae closer to him. Being so powerless Hyukjae can do nothing.
“Who force you to say this to me? Is it Junsu or Minho?” Hyukjae tries to push Kyuhyun away but not much energy she has.
“No one force me to do this. I already made my desicon Hyukjae, I won’t let you go now”
Kyuhyun said looking directly to her eyes while Hyukjae is trying looking for a doubt in Kyuhyun’s eyes but failed. She then looks away.
“What ere you talking about Kyuhyun? I am a monster, no body wants me to be near them. Don’t joke with me….”
Kyuhyun then holds Hyukjae’s shoulder, taking her chin to look for her eyes. This is it, Kyuhyun thinks. His heart is beating faster and faster each time.
“You are not a monster, you are just different from me. There are so many different people out there, you are not the first one”
“But I am not a human, not a person! I drinks your kind’s blood for survive”
“There are cannibals out there Hyukkie, they are worst than anything in the world. Even if you are not human, you appreciate us, you cared for us. If you are not, you might have killed every humans you met. You are not bad nor monster, if you are you might had sucked me dry that night, but you didn’t.”
“You don’t understand Kyuhyun….” Hyukjae looks away from him.
“Someone told me that life is simple. What’s wrong with you being vampires? Can’t we be friends? It must be hard too for you right? You have the right to live normally too just like us humans. I may be not understand it fully but I will try hard to understand everything.”

Hearing Hyukjae just being silent, Kyuhyun takes the opportunity to embraces her. Her body is cold, as cold as ice, but he is sure he can make it warmer.
“ Stop thinking bad of your self, Hyukkie. You are just perfect, didn’t you know that evey girls at school really envy you for being perfect or the times when the teacher always compare me and the other students with you, we are not smart enough for them but you, you are the smartest student there. Or the times when the boys told me that how lucky the guy who can win your heart, you are just perfect like that.”
“That’s because I’m a vampire. We are all like that, Kyuhyun”
“No, it’s not because of that. It’s because you are you. You are that charming girl with a cute smile, you are the nerd the teachers love, you are the kind and warm hearted girl who every boys love and girls envy. You are just your self.”
Hyukjae doesn’t know what to say to Kyuhyun. She feels something warm inside her and it’s all because of Kyuhyun. She doesn’t even protest being hug by Kyuhyun, it actually makes her all fluffly inside. Kyuhyun can feel his heart might burst anytime. Hyukjae is in his embrace and she is being calm. His heart beats faster that usual and he realize that his heart is beating for her. It makes him smile.
“Thank you Kyuhyun…”
“Don’t say that at least you will stay and cancel all of your plan”
Kyuhyun can feel Hyukjae chuckles lightly in his embrace and it makes him grinning from ear to ear.

“It’s late, you should go home” Hyukjae who realize how awkward they are now said.
“Will you come to school tomorrow?”
“I don’t think so”
“Why? You are not running away from me right?”
“I am still powerless, I need to recharge my energy first. I might be at school on Monday”
Kyuhyun let go of his embrace to look at Hyukjae, suddenly he rember something.
“Hyukkie…” Hyukjae just looks at him
“Will come with me to the school’s 50 years party this weekend?” Hyukjae is taken a back by that question. Nobody dare to ask her out like that.
“We never come to any school’s party before…”
“Then you should come this time. I will show my world”
Kyuhyun said smiling happily and Hyukjae finds her self unconsciously nods to it.
“I guess it would be okay.”
“Great! I’ll pick you up at seven?”
“Sounds good to me” Hyukjae smiles her beautiful smile for the first time in five days and Kyuhyun is delighted.
“Good. So, hmmm…. I’ll be going now. My Umma might be looking for me” Kyuhyun scratches his neck, indicating his nervousness.
“Yeah, hmm… so take care” Hyukjae smiles and then walks inside her house. She is embarrassed. Kyuhyun grins and goes to his bike and heading home.

Hyukjae gets into her house and the attention is on her immediately. Hyukaje just hangs her head low. The ohers are having this smile on their face. Hyukjae can’t look at them so she decides just to go to her room but Junsu stops her.
“Where do you think you are going Hyukkie?” Junsu smiles cheekily and Hyukjae fears that smile.
“So how’s everything?” Leeteuk asked from the couch she sits with Kangin besides her, reading some police reports.
“It’s okay umma. I am sorry for making you worried these few days.” Hyukjae bit her lips and looks away from her mother. She can feel it, they are all smiling happily, happy for her. But Donghae is not there, it makes her frown.
“I guess we have one more family now?” Taemin asked while clapping her hands excitedly.
“Where is Donghae?” Hyukjae suddenly asked. The smiles are now replaced by a light frown from the others. Hyukjae without any more words dash to Donghae’s room to find him near the window, looking outside, just like the other time.
Hyukjae walks to him slowly, feeling the urge to hug him instantly and asking for his forgiveness.
“I heard that we get one more family. That’s good” Donghae turns to look at Hyukjae, smiling but the smile doesn’t reach his eyes.
“Donghae I am sorry…” Hyukjae said and inches closer to him and hugs his neck.
“Why are you feeling sorry?” Donghae said trying to be cheerful like he usually does.
“I hurt you again and I just can’t stop doing it…” Hyukjae said lowly, hiding her face in the crook of Donghae’s cold neck.
“What are you talking about? I am happy as long as you are happy Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae hugs him tighter and Donghae hugs her back by her small waist, remembering her sweet
scent.
“I want you to be happy too, but not like this”
“You are my source of happiness Hyukkie, as long as I can see that beautiful smile on your lips I’ll be happy too”
Donghae looks at Hyukjae’s eyes and smiles. He then kisses her cheek. Hyukjae then just hugs him again. Donghae then lifts Hyukjae’s body from the floor to his lap. Hyukjae just stay still, tries to find a more comfortable space on his shoulder. Donghae then sings her a lullaby till morning because sleep never calls for them.
*****Kyuhyun’s house when he gets back from Hyukjae’s house.
Kyuhyun places his bike securely in the carage near Jonghyun’s car. He wants to call Jonghyun for opening the door but the door is opened immediately by none other of his mother, Kim Heechul. Heechul is smirking and so does Kyuhyun. He goes inside the house and takes a galss af water. Heechul takes a sit on her previous seat at the other night when she talked to Kyuhyun, eyeing her unexpectedly excited son.
“So, say Kyuhyun. What got into you?” Kyuhyun looks at his mother and pulls a chair in front of her.
“What are you saying Umma?”
“This morning you went to school like a zombie and now you are glowing. What is up? Something good happen I guess?”
Kyuhyun just hum to his mother as an answer. Heechul smirks getting wider.
“Tell me something I don’t know, son…”
“I guess you can guess it right just like any other things.” Kyuhyun teased his mother and Heechul just clicks her tounges
“You settled everything with Hyukjae?”
“It’s more than that Umma…” Kyuhyun said proudly.
“Surprise me”
“I had dinner in her house” Kyuhyun beam, making Heechul raised her eye brow.
“Dinner with with more than half of dozen vampires?”
“Yes and her mother and Hyukjae really made a delicious food.”
“So you are becoming vampires’ son in law now?” Heechul sounds amused.
“Ah, it’s not that far yet…” Kyuhyun scratches his neck and smiled sheepishly. Heechul just rolls her eyes.
“Let me rephrase it then. You make up with Hyukjae and settle your relationship with her and her family approve?”
Kyuhyun wants to say yes but, did he really make clear of his status with Hyukjae back then? Did he say something about it? Kyuhyun looks at his mother and shows her his confused look.
“It’s not, I didn’t say anything about relationship with her yet. We just talked about the accident on the other night” Kyuhyun laughes a little, the first time feeling so stupid in front of his mother. Heechul looks amused on her favourite son.
“ You pabo! Next time don’t let this kind of opportunity lose again. You had dinner in her house but said nothing about wanting to be her boyfriend? Why are you so lame? Jonghyun can do better than you in that field. You disappoint me Kyuhyun!”
“Yeah, Jonghyun is better than me in having girls. I will make her mine next time and when she came here, she is already my girlfriend, you hear that umma” Kyuhyun said childishly while pouting, the expression he only show to his mother. Heechul just laughes and heads to her room.
“Umma….” Kyuhyun suddenly said and Heechul turns her head to him.
“I know you are okay with Hyukjae being vampire, will Appa accept it like you too?” Heechul’s face becomes stairgt for a moment and Kyuhyun is nervous waiting for her answer. He hopes her mom will say something like ‘Don’t worry, he always obey me’ or ‘Your Appa even believe in dragons, so it’s fine’.
“For the mean time, keep it secret from your Appa first. He is still busy and about his business, don’t tell him something shocking like this. When the time comes we’ll tell him” heechul smiles and heads to her bedroom leaving Kyuhyun frowning.

Kyuhyun goes to his classroom as soon as he can to find Yunho and Changmin to brag. When he saw them playing some PSP games, he smirks and walks to them, he then hits the table to get their attention. Changmin and Yunho look up immediately with a frustration eyes.
“What the heck Kyuhyun!” Changmin said while Kyuhyun puts his bag on his chair in front of Changmin.
“I’ll come to the school’s party tomorrow.” Kyuhyun chuckles and Yunho snickers.
“Found your date already? Who’s that poor girl you force to come?”
“Lee Hyukjae”
Changmin and Yunho drop their PSP and have their mouth agape open. How Kyuhyun enjoy that expression. He laughes evilly and poke their heads. Someone with a high pitch laugh then join him laughing making him stop and look sideway to find Junsu and Yoochun near him. Junsu is still laughing. Changmin and Yunho gasp more. Kyuhyun just looks Junsu weirdly.
“Why are you laughing Su?” Yoonchun asked his lover.
“Kyuhyun was laughing, so I just join him for no reason.” Junsu smiles innocently to them then sits on her seat.
“Anyway Kyuhyun, thanks to you Junsu is complaining to me about not asking her to the school’s party too. So I might tell you to be careful because we will be watching you tomorrow” Yoochun threats him but Kyuhyun is not afraid of him anymore. He has faced something scarier than Yoochun and that is Donghae. Yoochun comes to Junsu and takes a seat to while the other people are whispering each other about Kyuhyun.
“Shit Kyuhyun! What happen to you with that family?” Changmin asked slowly
“We are just making friend I guess” Kyuhyun said while looking uninterested to them.
“So you are really coming with Lee Hyukjae?” Yunho asked, still not believing it.
“Told you so, man!” Kyuhyun looks at Yunho and changmin proudly and then pulls out his PSP and plays it happily.
*****The next day, 6 PM, Kyuhyun’s house.
“Okay this is my last deal with you, I’ll take your car and I’ll treat you lunch tomorrow”
Kyuhyun said while placing his tie bow neatly on his neck. Jonghyun is arranging his hair neat and then smiles to his own direction.
“I don’t want to…”
“If you say no I’ll tell umma you step on her favourite dress few dress agao” Kyuhyun smirks and Jonghyun just gives him a dirty look
“I did it accidentally and you are so not telling Umma abou it. You know how mad she will become if she know I step on her dress with my shoes!”
“Like I care she will kill you Jjong.” Kyuhyun said plainly and sprays parfume on his Tuxedo.
“You are not fair Hyung!” Jonghyun said while handing Kyuhyun his car key. Kyuhyun just smirks.
“There is nothing fair in love and life my dear brother. You need to be smarter than me” Kyuhyun said laughing while Jonghyun just pouts at him.
Kyuhyun is dressed up, handsome and arrogant. He is standing near the door with Jonghyun waiting for their mother to finish inspecting their clothes.
“Oh Jjong, you are handsome but grow up more, will you!”
“I’m not that short Umma!” Jonghyun said, feeling annoyed by his mother’s comment. Kyuhyun chuckles and pats his head.
“Yes, you need to grow like me” Thay are galring at each other again like usual.
“Okay, my boys are looking good but not as good as your Appa. You two may go now. have fun okay”
Jonghyun opens the door happily saying he’ll be going to his mother and father and Kyuhyun just about to do the same when Heechul pulls him. Kyuhyun looks at his mom.
“Don’t forget about your promise last night Kyuhyun!” Kyuhyun just smirks to his mother.
“I won’t Umma” Kyuhyun said with determination.

Hyukjae is sitting nervously on her bed, waiting for Kyuhyun to pick her up. It’s almost seven by that time. Donghae opens her door room and smiles. He comes in and sits near her, taking a good look of his love of life. Hyukjae just gives him a warm smile.
“You look gorgeous, gorgeous.” Donghae said matter of factly. Hyukjae takes his hand in her.
“Thank you. Are you sure you are not coming?”
“I need to go to Seoul to get our food supplies remember”
“You can do that tomorrow…” Hyukjae pouts.
“Then what? Making the whole house feeling hungry and you are lack of strawberry milk? I won’t let that happen. Besides Minho is and Yoochun will be there, so don’t worry” Donghae caresses her cheek lovingly and smiles. Hyukjae is still pouting. Donghae chuckles and then lean to her to gives her a peck, like he usually does. It instantly erases the pout away from her face.
“Come on, I hears Kyuhyun’s coming” Donghae stands up and takes Hyukjae’s hand with him to go downstairs.
Meanwhile, Kyuhyun is taking a deep brath before coming out from the car and walk to Hyukjae’s house front door. He wants to knock but Junsu already opens it for him.
“Kyuhyun! You are here. Come on in first, Hyukjae will be down stair in a few seconds” Junsu totally drags him inside.
Kyuhyun looks around the house and he is greeted by the whole family except Hyukjae and Donghae. He bows to Hyukjae’s mother and father and gives the other siblings a dashing smile. Junsu and Taemin are looking pretty with their gown, so elegant and shining. Minho and Yoochun too are ready for the party looking like those high class rich noble.
Kyuhyun is still observing them while Hyukjae and Donghae come downstair. Kyuhyun moves his attention to her immediately. She is wearing a red gown that reaches her knee. The red dress is matching with her red hair which is tied forming a cute bun tonight. her pale skin is shing under the light and he is feeling so proud of it. That beautiful creature is going to be his date for tonight. But suddenly he frown seeing it’s Donghae who escort her from her room but Donghae is wearing nothing special like the others. Could it be Donghae is not coming? It instantly lighten up his mood again.
Donghae stands in front of Kyuhyun. He doesn’t want to hand him Hyukjae but this is what Hyukjae want. He takes Hyukjae’s hand which is on his arm and gives it to Kyuhyun which Kyuhyun gladly accept. Hyukjae’s hand is still cold but it does not matter for Kyuhyun anymore, as long as Hyukjae is with him, it will warm him.
“Take care of her tonight or else I’ll rip your heart!” Donghae said seriously.
“Just kill me if I didn’t sent her home safely”
“Don’t do anything stupid later!” Donghae said again.
“Hae…” Hyukjae pouts again. Donghae looks at her and smiles, caressing her cheek and then she smiles.
“Have fun, Hyukkie….” Leeteuk said when Hyukjae is secure in Jonghyun’s car with Kyuhyun, ready to leave and Hyukaje just smiles.
Awkwardness. That’s what Kyuhyun feels when driving to their school. Hyukjae is quite like always and he also doesn’t know how to start conversation. He steals glance at Hyukjae who is looking straight to the road before them
“Eyes on the road, Kyuhyun…” Hyukjae calmly said. Kyuhyun just smiles.
“You look awesome tonight Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun said
“Thank you” Hyukjae said, lowering her head.
****Kyuhyun and Hyukjae arrives late on the party because of rain which suddenly pours hard. Kyuhyun offers his hand to Hyukjae before opening the door to the auditorium where the party held. Hyukjae bites her lips cutely and accept his hand. Kyuhyun grins like idiot before opening the door in front of him.
It seems like the time has stopped when they walk into the auditorium. Every pair of eyes is looking at them. Most of them are gasping, shocked and others just open their mouth, not believing their eyes. Lee Hyukjae is coming to the school’s 50 years celebratory with the new guy, Cho Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun can see from the corner of his eyes Changmin is throwing up his food and Yunho frozes on his feet while Jonghyun curse him and pouting. Kyuhyun smirks, oh how he loves this moment. Kyuhyun then finds Junsu, Tamin, Minho and Yoochun in the corner, smiling at him but Yoochun and Minho’s smile are more look like a smirk, a threaten look.
When they arrived at the center of the room suddenly the music plays, startling everyone. Junsu and Yoochun then start dancing, followed by Taemin and Minho. Their dance moves are like the old western style dance, so glamour and full of nobility. Kyuhyun looks at the jewel in front of him and offers his hand while bowing a little.
“Can I have this dance?”
Hyukjae elegantly just takes Kyuhyun’s hand and Kyuhyun places it on his shoulder while his hand is secure on her waist. They follow the rythim and enjoy it so much. They are locking gaze for who knows how long. Hyukjae’s eyes are changing again from brown to orange to purple. Kyuhyun doesn’t know what it means but he care less.
“I really like your eyes changing colours like this” Hyukjae’s a bit taken a back by that statement.
“What colours are they now?”
“It’s purple. What does it mean?”
Hyukjae looks away from Kyuhyun, tries to gets her usual eyes colour again. There is no way she will tell Kyuhyun the meaning of purple eyes. the colour which symbolizes the two massive feelings, love and lust.
“Have I told you look amazing tonight?”
“Yes you have Kyuhyun” Hyukjae said looking at him and smiles.
“You have no idea how much I want time to stop now Hyukkie…” Kyuhyun out of blue said.
“Why?”
“Because I want to keep looking at you like this, holding you in my arms”
Hyukjae looks away again and Kyuhyun just chuckles.
“You are so cheesy Kyuhyun” Hyukjae said slowly.
“I learn from my Appa” Kyuhyun said proudly.
The night is amazing for everybody but for Kyuhyun and Hyukjae it’s more than amazing. They are dancing, talking, sitting side by side, holding hands and laughing together. It looks like that night is their night, Kyuhyun even forget about his best friends who keep calling him, but he ignores them. At the end of the night Kyuhyun doesn’t see Hyukjae’s siblings anymore, and Hyukjae tells him that they are heading home because they are hungry all of sudden and need to go home fast.
It’s still raining hard when they go home. Kyuhyun is dtrying to concentrate on the road before him while Hyukjae chuckles.
“You want me to drive?” Hyukjae teased.
“I can do it Hyukkie, it’s okay. Just relax” Kyuhyun glances to her for a while before looking back to the road.
“Just drive to your house, I’m okay to come home alone”
“I can’t do that!” Kyuhyun object firmly.
“Why?”
“I told Donghae I’ll be sent you home safe, so I have to fulfil my promise to him”
Kyuhyun points out but suddenly the car engine is off. Kyuhyun and Hyukjae are looking at each other then Kyuhyun tries to turn on the engine again but it’s failed. He then hits the steering wheel.
“It must be Jonghyun didn’t tell me that his car is out of fuel earlier. That dinosaur looking guy!”
Hyukjae just chuckles hearing Kyuhyun curses his own brother.
“It’s okay Kyu, I can call Donghae to pick us here” Hyukjae starts to look for her cellphone but
Kyuhyun grips her hand. Hyukjae looks at him and Kyuhyun is looking at her with a serious expression.
“What happen Kyu?” Hyukjae tries to read his mind but she is failed miserably again so asking Kyuhyun is the only way to find out what he is thinking.
“What am I to you Hyukkie?” Kyuhyun suddenly asked. He looks deeply at Hyukjae’s now green eyes. Hyukjae is laughing a little want sto have her hand back but the looking in Kyuhyun’s eyes stop him.
“What are you talking about Kyuhyun?”
Kyuhyun takes Hyukjae’s hand to his chest, near his heart. Hyukjae’s cold hand is making him shiver a bit.
“Can you feel it? Can you listen to it? It’s beating so hard Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae just looks at him with a confused look. She presses her hand to Kyuhyun’s chest. Of course she can feel it, Kyuhyun’s heart is beating fast and hard. She can feel his blood circulation clearly and it’s making her feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“It’s beating like crazy like this is because of you, Hyukkie…”
Hyukjae is quiet, she doesn’t know how to respond it. She is out of words.
“Hyukkie…” Hyukjae just hums to him.
“What if I love you?”
Kyuhyun said seriously, examining Hyukjae’s face carefully and her eyes are red. Her palm is still on his chest and he has no idea why Hyukjae looks so uncomfortable like that. Hyukjae can’t help it. She knows that Kyuhyun is telling her that he loves her but with her hand firmly presses on Kyuhyun’s chest like that, she feels the hunger crawls slowly to her. She is afraid she might hurt Kyuhyun again so she chooses to push Kyuhyun and walks out the car.
Kyuhyun is startled by Hyukjae’s reaction, he didn’t expect this. Hyukjae is out there in the rain,
Kyuhyun waste no time to go for her. Hyukjae is not that far from the car. He runs before she lets out her power and grips her arms, yanking her to his embrace. Kyuhyun looks right into her eyes, even it’s dark and raining hard, he can see those red eyes are looking back to him.
“I told you not to run away from me…”
“I might hurt you Kyuhyun” Hyukaje said again for the nth times but Kyuhyun just hugs her.
“No you won’t. I trust you, Hyukkie. You won’t hurt me. Now will you please stay for a while and listen to me?” when he gets no respone, he knows Hyukjae will listen to him. Kyuhyun let go of his embrace and holds onto her shoulder.
“I was not joking about wht I told you Hyukkie. I really do love you. You are making me go crazy and you never leave my mind. Everytime I always think of you, thinking about your smile, your eyes, your soft and cold hand, thinking about holding into your hands tight and never letting go, everything in you.”
“Why?” Hyukjae unintelectually asked, forgetting her hunger for Kyuhyun’s blood.
“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice but falling in love with you is something I can’t control so I alsao have no idea why. For you I would walk trhough hell, letting burn my shoes and feet. I love you Lee Hyukjae”
Hyukjae is still stunned with Kyuhyun’s words and she has no idea when does Kyuhyun’s soft and warm lips are presses against her cold ones. She doesn’t know how to respond at first but then she just closes her eyes, kissing him back. The kiss is slow and watery because of the rain but they don’t care. Kyuhyun nibbles on Hyukjae’s lower lips and Hyukjae willingly opens her mouth, letting Kyuhyun invade her sweet cavern. They kiss until Kyuhyun runs out of breath. Thay press their fore head together and Kyuhyu looks at those beautiful orbs again.
“I love you….”
“I guess we can try.” Hyukjae said smiling.

Knock knock..
“Good evening Auntie..”
“Oh my god Key! What are you doing here?”
