Martin H. Greenberg

Word is slowly filtering out. Martin H. Greenberg, of Tekno books, died in his sleep, at home, yesterday morning. I met Marty a number of times, because he came to the DAW dinners at various worldcons over the past two decades. DAW published a lot of his anthologies, and he was always invited. please pardon the profanity but thats the first and large thing that comes to mind.
for a large part of my life i knew that an anthology with this name on it was awesome....

As for the contretemps, there was quite a difference of legal opinion about that contract language. It's doubtful whether Marty made any mistake at all.

This is sad news. His anthologies and Marty himself are a huge part of science fiction.

He will be greatly missed.

I hadn't heard...I have several double shelves dedicated to his anthologies...They've always been favorites of mine. Condolences - to all of us.
