Our friends B&C (our fellow travellers in Paris) have had their Hotmail account hacked and subsequently blocked. The attack came via an email from a friendly address which had itself been hacked. B contacted the Hotmail Abuse team via email (from a new address) and was given some links to supposedly help him, although these took him to pages he

Argh. I have no advice, just lots of sympathy. Fingers crossed others will have both.

Sorry - can't really help you here. Yes, Hotmail can transfer contacts but you have to be logged in to use the facility. Sadly this happened to a friend last summer and she never got her account back.

No advice here either except to say that last response from Microsoft sounds like something the Apple PR people would write for them - any wonder people hate Microsoft?

Yes I am happy to friend. Don't talk a whole lot of footy on LJ (I have one other Evertonian on my f-list). We went to the new footall museum in Manchester in July - not a lot of Blues stuff but Ladies football is represented (I'll find you the link if you are interested).
