What do you think of this for a business name?

Depth of f8 Photography (spoken: Depth of Fate)

The logo would be the initials DOF...

I've never been a big fan of "f8" or any of those "spelling with numbers" things. I mean, it can be cute on license plates, just 'cause there's no room, but when it's not a license plate, my thought is "Why not just spell it out?"

I like the name in general though.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for that! :) I have been asking everyone I come across for their opinions. Some people like it. Some don't. Which makes me wonder if it's a good name for a business. Something that will last 20 years or so. I dunno.

The reason behind the f8 is... it's a photography term. f8 is a notation of aperture setting. And DOF stands for Depth of Field.

But thank you, thank you for commenting! If you have any suggestions... I am totally open. hehe

Oh, if f8 is a photography term, then don't let me stop you. I thought it was just an attempt to be cutsey, but if it's an in-joke, then by all means. ^_^

First of all, I think it's great that you're planning your own business. I'm very happy for you.

As far as the name, the spelling may come not across the way you want it to. You might get lumped with the same people that say "kewl" and "pwn", and that wouldn't be good. Also the name itself sounds a little artsy. Artsy can be good, but I would fear that it wouldn't sell. Please don't hit me. Love ya, truly. :-)
