"Robert!" The little girl just ran toward us as soon as we stepped into the room. Well, ran toward Rob, that's for sure. Rob with his goofy grin simply opened his arms and Mackenzie flew directly to his embrace.
My heart stared to do some flip and it was hard not to. All the talk about how amazing it is to see your man with kids, well that started to get into me. It was hard not to. With us working with Mackenzie in daily basis now, and the whole bonding thing that we required to do, it was impossible not to notice them.
Mackenzie is such a nice girl. She's simply get along with everyone within seconds. It was hard to resist her smile and her enthusiasm. We all fall for her in no time, yet Rob and her, well they were definitely something.
Unlike me, Rob used to be with girls. He got sisters and I got brothers, so yeah he got all the advantage. Rob was one of the firsts that could make Mackenzie felt at ease and now they even had ritual, the embrace, the chats about everything. Rob threw confused look every now and then, but he always managed everything and back into the track in no time. I know he's good with girls, I just never knew that included all range of age.
I smiled as I saw Rob looked at me questionably. I was few steps behind him and he started to notice. I shook my head lightly as an answer and close the gap as I took his left hand. Mackenzie still attached on his right side with Rob's hand clasped around her shoulder. And the three of us walked toward the dressing room, with Mackenzie and Rob chattered about the schedule today.
