I'm supposed to be going to the beach today, to an island an hour away on the car ferry, for two weeks. After the record-setting torrential rain and flooding we had last week, and after a summer that's so far been wet far more often than it's been dry, I was hoping that the weather would settle to its customary February reliable sun ( Read more... )

Thanks! We're as ready as we can be now and just waiting to see what happens. Seems a little weird to be watching Love Island as an apocalypse draws near, but hey.

That's unfortunate about your vacation, and that certainly sounds scary. I hope you don't experience any severe damage or major disruptions. Climate change is really going to cause a lot of devastation in the coming decades :(
