I would NOT recommend the Pontiac, as my friend Mike's newer-used Pontiac just CAUGHT FIRE AND EXPLODED the other day in the parking lot of Chipotle. Apparently he had some kind of electrical system problem that caused a fire and spread to his fuel line.
So, unless you long to perish in a fireball, I'd go with the Nissan--provided its Carfax sheet is clean and it gets good consumer reviews.
You'd get a better deal buying a car listed in the paper instead of going to the dealers. Getting a car from the dealers automatically adds about $4000 to the cost.
