I deeply apologize, but:

Normally, I try and avoid political discussions. Just like Shour mentioned before, they generally do more to alienate friends and piss people off than they do to actually accomplish anything ( Read more... )

One of the reasons I love you MikeE is because of posts like this. I've never known you to come out and say stuff like this on a regular basis, so this is cool for me to read. I already know that you are amazing at critical thinking and problem-solving, so I really like hearing about this subject from a scientific person's point of view (granted, I'm a science geek too, so I feel the same way). But you've managed to articulate this so well. Awesome :)

*hug* I can't wait till you come out to CA this summer. I hope to see you a couple of times. We'll have to drag you out to some theme-y park things or something. And I will so be going over to the coast to visit with you. Man, I miss having you around...

And with seeing Steve (Hamster) last week, it really does make me miss the Tech we once knew.

hamSTER! hamSTER!

Anyways, thanks for the support, but I mostly just vented with the above post. I may occaisionally seem articulate, but really I'm just talking out of my ass. I don't think I even spelled "occasionally" correctly.

I also suck at keeping track of people. Yes, we WILL hang out in CA. Also, I might have a friend or two around there as well who can hang out with us (Erin, perhaps ???)

Woohoo :) More people!

Yeah, having the Hamster around was awesome for old times sake. I had forgotten how much fun I have with Steve around. And then adding in James and Steve's co-worker Dave...man, I haven't laughed like that in a while.

Would you believe that I know at least 5 people named Steve, and all are awesome!

We need to get you down here in LC one of these days to meet the esteemed CapnCheapo, who has an LJ account of his own that I think you'll find MUCH more well-written and articulate than my own ;).

You could e-mail me if you wanted. I understand completely why people don't like to talk about this stuff. Usually I'm the one trying to avoid it, but I got hit with a brick or something yesterday and it's all in my mind.

Dude, when do you have to leave for training? We need to try another LAN party when you and Shour get back (hopefully).
