Lorelai woke up and sat down to enjoy her one cup of real coffee for the day.

She heard a strange beeping sound and realized that she had left her cell phone in her purse overnight. She grabbed it and listened to her messages"Luke!" she called, not sure where in the house her husband was, but grateful he wasn't opening the diner today

Rory woke, blinking groggily, at the sound of her phone. She grabbed it and disentangled herself from Anakin - who didn't appear to be sleeping, exactly, but she didn't want to disturb him anyway.

"Hi, Mom," she said as she closed the door behind her and sank to the floor of the hallway against it.

"Where are you? Are you okay? What happened?" Lorelai asked in a rush.

"I'm fine. I'm at school. The vampire who made Angel - er, Angelus, or...whatever, the one who hurt me before - gave me a really bad scare last night. Grabbed me outside of Caritas and drugged me."

"You were drugged? Are you in the clinic? Do you need me to come up?"
