Mainland Hospital - All Day

Lorelai was feeling a lot better today, actually able to stay awake for longer than thirty minute intervals, which meant she was mostly bored. She wanted to play with Bucky, but all he wanted to do was sleep, eat and dirty his diaper. She'd kind of forgotten how much newborn babies slept.

Rory had actually been there since kind of early in the morning, though due to things she could not control (overly bossy boyfriends, perhaps), it had been well into the decent hours of daylight before she had arrived.

Which was why she was curled up in a chair with several folders, a book, and a cup of coffee, determined to stay quiet until she was sure her mother and brother were awake.

Lorelai woke up and blinked a few times.

"How long have you been here?" she whispered.

"Since about sevenish. I tried to get here earlier but I wasn't allo...able to." Rory made a face. "Did you sleep okay? And are you allowed to have coffee yet?"

Sometime in the afternoon, after the hangover's worn off enough that she's willing to, you know, go anywhere, Jaye heads off to the hospital. And she makes sure to finish her coffee before going inside, because she's not that mean.

She knocks on the door really really quietly, in case anyone's sleeping, and because her head still kinda hurts.

After finishing up in his office, The Tick walked over to the hospital to visit the Gilmore-Daneses. He was carrying a plush bear that looked large even by Tick's standards. "Hello, Lorelai!" Tick said as quietly as he could manage. "Hello, Bucky! His name is Bucky, right? That's what the radio said."

Lorelai grinned. "Yes, well, technically it's William Starbucks Danes, but we're going to call him Bucky," she explained. "It's so good of you to visit."

"A very keen name, Lorelai!" Tick said. "It's my honor to visit. It's not very often that people I know have babies, so this is a special event for me. Oh, this is for him." He held up the bear.
